Today my partner and I went on a mission to get some pizza to enjoy! Originally we were going to go to Marcellinas but they were closed so we thought to give this place a try. Upon entry the place appears pretty out dated, how ever staff were polite enough. Menu doesn’t really give a broad variety, go into great detail or look overly appealing. How ever we decided to grab a half and half pizza of an «American» and«The Lot» and a garlic bread. We ordered take away and only had to kill about 20 minutes. Once we got our food and got home to eat surprisingly the garlic bread was pretty damn good! The«the lot» was fairly tasty for what it was how ever the«American» was pretty bland and basic. The pizza wasn’t bad for what it was but a pizza and garlic bread cost us near $ 40 for a family size pizza and ONE garlic bread. I can’t say I’m over the moon about the food but it wasn’t bad either.

What a hidden gem! we initially stumbled into the doors of the shop a few years back one day looking for somewhere to eat while walking the main street of Glenelg, and boy am i glad i did the pizza is to die for, and ive never in the many many many times ive been back have i ever had bad food, the pasta is equally as nice, all the sauces taste and look home made with real ingredients, if you are ever in Glenelg and are looking for authentic quality pizza and pasta, Look no further!

Well they TOTALLY stuffed things up tonight — sad really — but what was really poor was the lack of resolution Over the many years that this establishment has existed(and it is many), I have visited quite a number of times without anything critical to mention —(even had a great calzone there once) but you are only as good as the last meal you provide and that, even when poor, can be partially rectified by some sort of apology or compensation — neither tonight was forthcoming, I dined with my wife and son and ordered a pizza with the lot — as you do. A glass of red for both myself and my wife and a milkshake for my son — all good so far. The place is getting busier by this time and we are located on a corner table by the window and that’s not so bad — the table is wobbly but with some manipulation I manage to keep is a little more stable than when we arrived. The pizza arrived, piping hot, OK that’s fine… and the first few slices are distributed to our plates —(here is where we should have taken more notice) — the topping is plentiful BUT quite«runny» can’t describe it any other way, but thinking it is because there is lots of topping, I put it down to that. The outer crust is firm with a fluffy inside BUT the base from there to the centre is soft and very thin. It is not until after a few slices each that we notice that the base is not well cooked — it’s hard but at the same time is far too pliable and now we notice that is is quite doughy(but still very thin) quite odd, you can’t pick this thing up, really — the flavour is not overly great either. There are now a few slices left and decide to point it out — in hindsight should have done this earlier BUT I suppose I just thought it was poor — The waitress suggests that we should have sent it back(yes probably) BUT this would have in my opinion resulted in a burnt outer and a still thin centre that was already very hard on the base underside. I believe there was too much sauce, base was too thin, the oven temp may have been affected somehow allowing the appearance of cooked outside but and threw the whole meal wrong — should not happen if they were on the ball(the pizza was $ 30) She says«I’ll let the boss know right now» as we head to the counter to pay. This is the worst part — I can see that she has pointed us out to the boss — BUT nothing, nada, squat, stuff all — NOAPOLOGY, NOCOMPENSATION — god even a coffee MAY have helped — $ 50PAIDINFULL POOR — sorry, won’t be back

Great pizza. Americana and Danielle Special are my favs, but all good. Nice little sit down restaurant out the back(the cold red wine is yum). Pasta and garlic bread are also very good. Just a great pizzeria that always delivers on quality.

There’s nothing like a good slice of pizza by the bay. I like to get a small pizza and take a walk down the jetty while muching away on it. Simple pleasures… They don’t do a bad pizza here, and while I enjoy doing the aforementioned walking and eating I actually enjoy the pasta a whole lot more. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is fine and the calzone is really good. The pasta they make just stands out a lot more. My personal favourite is the canneloni, but I’m also a sucker for an amatriciana sauce as well. I like a nice filled pasta so I go for the ravioli. I’ve tried a fair bit of the menu but I have yet to try the cabbage roll which is next on the list. There is a small issue with the price as they are quite pricey. Then again, aren’t most of the places at Glenelg? That’s really my only gripe…
