Syndal’s Fish & Chips

I have mixed opinions on this place.
The food is decent, so I’d recommend on that basis, and the service is okay. However, on several occasions I have gotten home only to realise I am a couple of potato cakes, or a dim sim short. Once I was actually missing a piece of flake.
The staff are more than happy to fix their mistake, but to be honest after a long day at work, the last thing I want to do is battle through traffic to go back to the shop so they can fix their mistake.
Order a small amount and you should be fine, order a large amount and you might want to stand at the counter just to check everything is there.

Really conveniently located amongst a popular strip of shops and restaurants, this place has a decent reputation with the locals. The service is alright, no complaints here at all. They’re usually pretty quick.
I’ve grabbed lunch here a few times. I don’t really eat much fish, but I like the schnitzel burger. They also do a pretty good steak sandwich that I’ve had from time to time. The prices are really very good, too. I mean, $ 6.50 for the schnitzel burger is more than fair, and I haven’t really needed any more than that for lunch.
I’m very happy to recommend this place to anyone after a decent, cheap and filling lunch if you’re nearby. There is a lot of competition from some fantastic restaurants nearby, but if you’re after something less exotic, this place is great.
