Palms Restaurant has been around for years and it is more food court than restaurant. If your party is not quite sure what style of food they want for your next meal this is a good place to try as it has something for everyone. From freshly made dosa to roti and curries, I enjoy coming here for a quick bite that does not break the bank. Another perk is there is usually plenty of parking around the area as well. Ladies tie your hair up and wear older clothes so you can eat more but also if you sit in there too long you end up smelling a bit like oil.

I only ever come here for the North Indian food and it is fantastic. On Tuesday nights they have a $ 15.90, all you can eat buffet which is fantastic value. The Dahl Makhani, vegetable korma and vegetarian pakora are personal favourites. Great service, great food and ample portions.

A far fling from the Raj but this team works hard to bring authentic food to the table. The prices are reasonable and kids can experiment with tastes. We had a large selection of Indian/Sri dishes and enjoyed them all.

No matter what time of day you go — it’s always busy. A great compliment to the place. It has recently undergone a renovation and has been upgraded — new décor, counters etc. Much nicer atmosphere than it used to be as it seems to feel cleaner as well ;) There are 4 stalls you can order from: Chinese, Malaysian, North and South Indian(one sells vegetarian food only). A lot of choice — you are taken to your table that has a number on it and when you go and order you quote yr table number and when it’s ready — it gets delivered to yr table. Good for people who can’t make up their minds on what they want to eat as they can order a little bit from everywhere. The food is all cooked to order and it is always lovely and fresh :) I can recommend: Curry Laksa, Chicken Curry & Roti, Sweet n Sour Chicken, Samosa’s and some of the vegetarian dishes are also very delicious! We are sort of regulars and would eat there at least once a month — but it’s so good and priced well that we would rather eat here than anywhere else if we are looking for a quick, tasty, cheap meal.

Palm court is a cafeteria-style eatery with cuisines from Asia, India and Sri Lanka. You enter into the court and are shown to your table. This place isn’t fancy or nice by any means– cheap tables and chairs; it’s really just a place you go to get some authentic food. The seating area is surrounded by a few food stalls-each serving their specialties. There is a Malaysian inspired counter where curries and roti can be bought, as well as some traditional rice/noodle dishes. There are also Indian/Sri Lankan stalls where authentic dishes can be found. Palm Court also offers a vegetarian stall. This is a fun and different place to try out some exotic flavors. Don’t expect much interior wise– it’s just a place one can go to get something a little out of the ordinary.

This place is pretty awesome. It’s a food court, so there are kiosk type shops around the outside of the main seating area. There are a few different dinner options here. They probably deserve their own reviews, and maybe eventually I’ll get around to giving each a shout out, but for now I’ll just talk about your dinner options. There’s a Chinese restaurant. The menu is probably mostly Cantonese, which seems to be the most common genre of Chinese cuisine in Australia. There’s a Malaysian place, which is usually where I go first. They do a beef curry on rice for quite a low price — I think it’s around $ 8, but you get a good sized serving for that price. I usually grab some roti with it and I’m full after it. The rendang can be a bit variable, sometimes its right and other times it’s a bit chewy and very fatty. There’s two Indian places, one with a Northern menu and one with a Southern menu. They’re pretty good, too. The place is often very busy. I haven’t yet had to make a booking, but I might just be lucky. The service is awesome for a food court. Your food is brought to your table, and the waiters have a bit more personality than many of the restaurants around Glen Waverley. I am a fan.

Located in Syndal, The Palms food court is actually four Asian restaurants in one. It’s a great option for those who can’t decide what they want. It also saves on many arguments on what to have for dinner. The atmosphere is very relaxed, its basically an inside courtyard filled with outdoor plastic tables surrounded by the food outlets. You go up, place your order and pay, and they will bring it out to you. My favourite is the Malaysian stand, in particular the chicken curry and roti. I could eat this all day. Avoid the rengdang though, unless you like it really hot with a strong aniseed taste. The Indian place puts out a decent butter chicken, though not as good as elsewhere. Prices are good, about on par with cheap Asian restaurants.
