It’s packed most of the time here — they even have a roped off entrance area — but for me it’s all feels a little too processed. Pappa Rich is big in Malaysia and the patrons seem to be grateful for its arrival. It’s OK without blowing me away. Maybe a little overpriced compared to what I see as some more authentic personalised options nearby.

Open from 11am-10:30pm daily, there is often a line outside the door. It is worth it though. The food is served quickly by multilingual waiters. Yes that means they also speak English! I have taken several people here and the first thing I get them to do when we are ready to order is to press the magical button on the table that notifies a waiter that you are ready and need of service. Pretty awesome. I have tried a few items such as the roti, chicken maryland, curry but always go back to anything with the boiled chicken. Yes that does not sound nice but trust me if you eat chicken please try this. Is is juicy and the skin is done perfectly and it is pretty cheap compared to other places in Glen Waverley. There is also a fabulous drinks menu with the likes of a Milo Dinosaur, Teh Tarik(pulled milk tea) and other drinks with jelly and ice cream. This is a great place for a cheap quick meal if you are lucky to skip the line.

We came here out of curiosity of the ever present long queues ever since this place opened a couple of weeks ago. We were greeted in a courteous and professional manner at the entrance and asked to wait 15 minutes for a table. After that, a friendly waitress showed us to our table. The service was good and the food came quite fast. Unfortunately, the food was somewhat of a let down. The fried rice noodles was barely entrée size, looked pale(totally different to menu photo) and lacked fragrance. The chicken satay tasted good, especially the peanut sauce. However the meat was quite fatty. The curry chicken that came with the Indian roti was way too oily. The best dish was the fried chicken on biryani rice; fragrant & delicious. As for drinks, I had the mixed coffee & milked tea that was acceptably good. Overall it was just average and not up to the standard of other similar restaurants in the area, especially considering the higher prices.
