After driving past this little shop on Blackburn Road countless times, I finally decided to pop in and try the Rockling Hor Fun from the Specials board. I was initially a bit disappointed there was no egg in the gravy. However the noodles turned out to be very smooth & fried just nice. It went well with the lightly fried rockling & the sour green chillis. Quite a distinctive difference from the usual 花蛋炒河. Overall above average. Furthermore, the waiter who served me was very friendly & cheerful.

Danny’s is a real treat, especially at lunchtime. If you’re after a fairly cheap feed, and you’re keen on Malaysian, you really can’t go too far wrong with this place. The shop itself is a bit like a coffee shop, décor-wise. It does suit the hawker type of food, though. The service is pretty good. It’s not a place where you sit down and expect to be served though. Lunchtime prices range from $ 9 to $ 18, with most being around the $ 12 mark. Not bad for such a tasty lunch. If you’re after something a little on the lighter side, grab a roti with satay or curry sauce for $ 4. Bargain. My personal favourites are the roti wraps, especially the satay chicken and beef rendang varieties. Beautiful. And for less than $ 10. I haven’t yet had dinner there, but judging from the aroma of the place, I’d guess that it’d be pretty good too.
