Terrible place! I ordered a Katsu egg don with chicken without sauce but I still get the sauce. The food it super salty even the steamed rice had salty taste. The green tea is okay though.

So my experience was nothing all that special and I wish I went somewhere else. I walked in around 9PM last night and was a bit surprised seeing as how I was the only one there, but decided to give it a try seeing as how the prices are reasonable. I went with the Chicken Katsu which honestly was pretty mediocre — they put too much sauce which really overpowered my taste buds. The staff is friendly but they could have provided better service as well. They never seem to be bothered to check up on me and also never refilled my water, even though I was the only one there. It just makes me wonder how they would do if it was busy. This restaurant isn’t all that bad but there are so many better choices in Glebe. I suppose you do get what you pay for.

Just wandering along Glebe Point Road, looking for somewhere for a casual lunch, a did a double take walking past Sushi Garden. Did I want sushi or did I want something a bit more substantial? I went with sushi and I’m happy I did. First off, it was pretty cheap! I went with a soba noodles and sushi combo($ 15). It was a late-ish lunch and there was only one other table filled and they seemed to have finished their food, but still, the service was remarkably speedy! The 6 pieces of sushi tasted lovely and fresh(i.e. no fishiness whatsoever!), and the soba noodles were soft, yet firm(and cold for those who didn’t realise already) in their flavourful soup! The other options on the menu looked extremely tempting too, so looks like I’ll be going back at some point soon!

I went back to Sushi Garden the other day and was in the mood for something warm, so I selected one of their udon soups. I asked for a combination of veggies and tofu, which wasn’t exactly on the menu, but the staff were happy to oblige. I ordered the soup for take away and took a seat at one of their empty tables while I waited. Although it was a Friday night, there was only one other table being occupied. I turned to chat to my friend shortly after sitting down and was surprised and quite charmed when one of the sweet waitresses brought us over a tiny bowl of complimentary edamame to snack on while we waited. I found that to be a very nice, unexpected touch and proved to me that in terms of service, Sushi Garden is excellent.

Dine in or Take Away Sushi garden spectacular. I say that because it not only tastes good, but is it kind to your wallet. For what you are getting and that’s a well cooked nutritional meal with exotic flavours you are paying a very reasonable price — $ 8-$ 10 dishes! The restaurant has a very clean ambience about it and the smell in the air has the right components of rice wine vinegar, seaweed and rice. The chemistry is right here and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It’s good for groups and if you are feeling peckish and want a bit of sushi and noodle(ramen) then the price gets pushed up but the service is friendly so takes the pinch out of it.
