I am turning into a Juicy Beetroot salads addict!!! I take my container to be filled up with whatever the staff member is happy to put in it as the massive selections are all so tasty and delicious for me. No disappointment so far! I don’t know what other places charge but I thought that $ 10.50 wasn’t that cheap for a take away salad? I often need to eat some extra food to feel satisfied. And the staff could give an extra smile. Nerveless, they will see me again! ok, this I must have written this when the staff had a bad day because since then I only dealt with smiley and friendly staff so I add a fifth star!

Fast becoming one of my favourite places to lunch! Hot options, salad options. All vegetarian options, affordable options, lots of options! If I could eat here everyday, I would be a sublimely happy, not to mention, healthy lady.

Wow I dare someone to say vegeatarian fare is tatseless after eating at Juicy Beetroot. Very similar to Veggie Mama in Beaufort Street, this place packs a mad flavour punch! Theres a good range of salads to choose from. Go with the small size option, it’s really quite large, and I eat a lot! I had a combination of the bean and grapefruit salad, the tofu salad, of which the tofu must have mean marinated and deep fried because it was tatsier than any fried chicken I have ever had before! I also had the roasted pumpkin which was delicious and cooked perfectly(so many cafes under cook pumpkin — what is with that?!). All of the salads were dressed perfectly and there were a heap of seeds and nuts sprinkled throughout which made the salads even more delicious and as I walked back to my car lunch I felt great, like I had fueled my machine(body) with the good stuff and it was loving me for it.

Could a root vegetable be any more appealing? This café is such a well kept secret I feel guilty sharing the wealth– thank goodness it is in the shadow of someone else. Imagine Hare Krishna in an enchanted forest– this is it. The food is wholesome, nutritious animal friendly food for your soul. There is an outdoor seating area with some cute signage in the garden about«protecting children’s feet from tum tum tree prickles.» Inside it feels like a small Mexican villa with low ceilings and a dimly lit walkway to the bathroom working as a poster wall/community notice board. The café section, with some seating inside, is open and bright but after a serve of goodness I prefer to enjoy my spoils in the sun outside. This place is fairly popular with those of us who know about it so unless you want«left overs» try and get in before 2: pm. Juicy beet– you rock the streets of Freo.

The Juicy Beetroot is kind of a hidden gem in Perth(much like many of the city’s vegan/vegetarian/gluten free cafes!). Situated inside Tum Tum Lane(cutest street name ever!) just off High Street and directly across from Tropicana Café, I wouldn’t have even known The Juicy Beetroot existed if it wasn’t for a delicious aroma of Indian spices inviting me inside and off the street. The place is usually fairly packed and very popular, so much so that all their food usually sells out before 4pm. If you’re lucky though, they do half price meals between 3 and 4pm! You have to be super quick though! When I was there, I ordered from their selection of curries. Their servings aren’t all that large, and the curry was a little bit too greasy for my liking. TJB redeems themselves by being incredibly affordable! i chose a selection of 3 curries(no rice) for $ 9, and their tofu burgers are the same. Their menus change every day, so I wouldn’t go out of your way to visit the place unless you’re feeling particularly hopeful your favourite dish is on offer. Also, if you’ve certain allergies or are vegan, make sure you ask what ingredients are in the item you’re ordering. Not all food is vegan/gluten free.
