I’m a huge believer in surrounding yourself with things that inspire you and encourage creativity. Creative space, creative mind type ideology. So in a perfect world, I would be able to walk into Space and furnish my beautiful home… and I would never have a creative block again. Do not shop here if you’re looking for function over fashion. That’s just not really how Space works. A lot of he furniture is Italian designed, hence why it might not seem practical but looks oh so pretty. I really don’t know how people fill a whole home with the kind of furniture displayed in Space, but there were a few pieces that I would happily include in my life on a more permanent basis. For example the armchair resembling a giant baseball glove that was so smooth in the hand and beautifully made. Oh, be mine! If you’re into design or you have some serious coin to spend on furnishing your home, get one of the great staff at Space to show you the multiple levels of their display room. It’s enviable!

Space is one of those places that make me happy that we’ve evolved to have opposable thumbs. Throughout history us wily humans have created all manner of beautiful things that it’s become expected in everything we furnish our house and lives with. …Luckily for us Space furniture exists for us to drool and lust over. This huge warehouse in the valley in absolutely stuffed with handsome, well designed and quality pieces. You can find anything from armchairs, beds, stools and rugs to tables, smart storage solutions and lighting. Everything is really really stupidly pretty and could very well feature in Vogue living (or my house when I win the megadraw.) If you love european designs or high end furniture I definitely recommend checking this Space out.

In an alternate universe where I’m a highly paid designer married to some highly paid aeronautical engineer and we have no children, I buy all my furniture for my über-urban, environmentally friendly condominium from Space. In this reality, I’m content to browse through their multi-level showroom and admire the works of European designers and exclaim over their outrageous prices. Here you can expect to pay up to $ 1000 for a simple lounge chair. I hope I dont’ sound disparaging. I love clever design, excellent craftmanship and innovative use of material. Space is all of these things but of course, it comes at a hefty premium. This upper end furniture store is not for the faint hearted. I think their motto ‘Life should be lived without compromise’ sums it up. This is a shop for people who think designer furniture is a necessity, not a luxury.
