The coffee was bitter and had no love. I ordered the potato cake which had zero flavour. I pull not be surprised if it was liquid mixture like KFC. The sad thing is the photo came out superbly. The mushroom was at least nice.

Their iced coffees will really give you a caffeine hit! This place is a local gem and is always buzzing, especially on weekends. Best place to sit would be outside as it can get a tiny bit crowded indoors.

Sago and black quinoa porridge servers with rhubarb, mint and fresh pear! This was amazing! Once again Kirwan St has filled my belly with this new creation! They never fail me and my tastebuds!

Our mini family came for a Saturday breakfast. We got in nice and early to beat the local/fitness crowd. The breakfast dishes were huge. Fruit toast for little miss was two massive slabs of packed and fluffy bread. I had the potato and leek bake, which could’ve done with a bit more seasoning and hubby had the pork terrine which was delicious with lashings of mustard. Kid friendly and quick, we’ll be coming back.

The coffee leaves much to be desired. The food is different and unique but not worth the time waited. Given the outside setting is rather rustic to say the least — waiting times could have been sorter. Good for unique and different kinds of food Bad for arriving hungry and Very bad for having that morning cuppa

This coffee shop is a local secret! The coffee is consistently great and the breakfast here is innovative, and creative. The food café out quickly and the service prompt and friendly. When in Perth it is my recommended spot, a place take my friends here for Sunday breakfast, or just pop in for a coffee if nearby! If you’re after a café breakfast in Perth that is of high quality and value for money, this is a perfect option.

Hidden away in a Floreat side street, this little café looks very unassuming… but holy moly it certainly delivers innovative and flavoursome food! With an extensive and exciting brekkie menu, this place is great for weekend brunching or weekday catch ups with friends. Not just your usual old ‘eggs benedict’ type brekkie joint. I had the sardines with lima beans and sugo on toast and I was blown away by the succulent, salyiness of the sardines balanced with the smoky sugo. My partner had ‘the paddock’($ 23) which was a full breakfast — the portion was generous and not oily/greasy. They do fantastic coffee and I loved the full flavoured bitterness of their long black. They do a selection of juices(not squeezed on site but delivered fresh most days) and I had the refreshing watermelon and strawberry. There is some outside seating and dogs are welcome. This place is a real fave in my book now. Recommended again and again… and again!

I love this local, hidden gem! Nestled on a suburban street, this popular café is perfect for picking up a quality coffee to take away or enjoying a breakfast or lunch inside or out. One of the things that makes this place awesome is that they have a chef with kitchen staff and it really shows because the menu is well thought out and the food is always outstanding. I really love the breakfast plate or corn and ricotta fritters or the poached chicken salad(beetroot has never tasted so good!). They have daily specials which often include a soup and a pie — I tried a lamb and lentil pie… super delicious! I have always been really impressed with the quality and freshness of the food, the coffee is awesome and they have some delicious cakes and slices for your sweet tooth. I have indulged in Red Velvet cupcakes in the past and more recently the gluten free gingerbread man and the salted caramel slice. It is popular so it can be hard to get a table, sometimes you need to line up, but the staff do their best even when they are pumping and somehow it is still relaxed.

This café is found in a quiet leafy residential area and enclosed by two shops. Who would have guessed that such an inconspicuous café would be bustling with people. Named after the street, this café has a few parking spots and the waiting area is literally the grass. The staff are friendly and you can order and pay later with a split bill option. I had the brioche with poached egg and mushrooms and avocado instead of ham hock. I also tried their corn fritters and French Toast. Breakfast options range from 16 to 22 dollars and a small Coffee for 4 bucks. Portions are generous and staff attentive. Coffee is average even though they use tobys estate. Hmmm

Well cooked poached eggs and bacon. Good quality gluten free toast(not the white rubbery rubbish most places serve). Great coffee(Tony’s Estate) well made. Very busy, with a good atmosphere. Only bad point was that the staff member serving us, although efficent were not very friendly.

This was the perfect place for a relaxed Sunday breakfast. The service is quick and friendly, the food(especially the bread) is great and they know how to make a soy latte that doesn’t disappoint. It can be quite loud indoors on weekends, but it doesn’t take too long for an outdoor table if you’re not in a rush.

I went here for the first time today after seeing that it had an almost perfect record and was not disappointed. The café was bustling with a range of people including business meetings through families with small children. They all knew that this was the place for a delish breaky and coffee! The space was open and bright with lots of tables and some booth sided seating. You can even sit outside easily as there is a large nature strip and car parking before the road which is nice so that you are not right on the fairly busy suburban road. I had the corn fritters which were great, the roasted cherry tomatoes were cooked perfectly and the sauce had the right level of zing to make the whole meal just great. I was not disappointed with my coffee which was creamy and smooth. I can imagine that this café is very busy on the weekend and might be best for a mid week breaky instead. I will be back soon to try some of the other other yummy dishes!

Met a friends for a late breakfast on a Monday and the place was quiet… which I can’t complain about. Had the Mushie on Parmesan brioche, absolutely delicious. Coffee was good. Service was good. Will be back :)

Entirely unremarkable. The coffee was good and the bacon & eggs arrived exactly as one would expect. Décor was minimal but pleasant. Staff were not unfriendly. The highlight of breakfast was sitting next to Cox, Priddis & Hurn of the Eagles.

This place is consistently very good: they try hard, want to serve you, vary their menu constantly and deliver really good food and coffee every time. Beware of breakfast as it is good but gets crazily busy. There are usually a few tables for lunch and it is nice and quiet in the back streets of Floreat.

Went here for Sunday morning brunch around 11:30am and even though we were a big group, were able to get seated after a 10min wait. Minimalist and clean inside, with just the right amount of buzz. Appreciated that the menu had lots of options for vegetarian and gluten-free eaters, plus some could be adapted to be vegan. Our table tried a bit of everything — the dishes were really well balanced and creative with good portion sizes! The strawberry & watermelon juice was perfectly refreshing for a sunny afternoon but others who had the coffee didn’t seem too impressed. Great service though — staff were efficient and really friendly! Loved that the location was tucked away from the main strips and enjoyed being able to support an independent and local café.

I’m so stoked this joint opened up around the corner from my parents’ house. If I drop in around lunch time there’s a good chance they’ll take me there! I have found both the food and coffee here to be consistently very good. The menu changes regularly and always has a few unique dishes to choose from. The only bad thing about the changing menu is when something you really loved is rotated out, like their pulled pork baguette that I still dream about. Service is friendly, and the décor, especially the little things, is very cute.

Named after its precise address, this Floreat café is my greatest new brunch find. The café itself is simple and modern in design, with vanilla walls and punchy red seating. The peaceful character at Fortysevenkriwanstreet(I’m bound to misspell that somewhere), is mostly owed to the leafy blocks of homes that distance it from hustle and bustle. I’d liken it to other corner suburban cafes like Coode St in Mt Lawley or Hobart Deli in North Perth. Fortysevenkirwanstreet snubs the usual brunch items to make way for an imaginative breakfast and lunch menu. For the vegetarians, the Mushrooms and Asparagus breakfast more than satisfies. Button mushies, perfectly seared asparagus and a generous glob of soft, salty goats cheese. On the mornings when your booze-battered belly is craving that the saviour of a salty breakfast, I recommend the Potato and Leek Bake. An oven baked hash brown with smoked salmon, runny egg and too-good Hollandaise. Other meals to mention are the Middle Eastern style egg dish; eggs baked in a claypot of rich tomato sauce, peppers and fetta cheese. As well as the Bircher muesli; a pretty mound of oats, sultanas, cherries, toasted macadamias and grated apple. It’s one of the most artfully presented birchers I’ve ever seen. Lunch gets more fancy with dishes like pork belly, a salad featuring smoked trout and potatoes, and slow cooked meat and parpadelle. Tempting you at the counter are plates of goodies like mini-brioche, custard tarts, brownies and sweet and savoury muffins. The slices and bakes don’t rate as high as the main menu, but it’s still a rare day that I don’t grab one of these sweet morsels for the road.
