Massive and delicious meals. I love to go here for breakfast /brunch. It’s really nice sitting outside too.

My host family took me here one rainy Saturday morning and it was PACKED. I think we waited a good 20 minutes just to be seated, and then come to find out, our table wasn’t even on the restaurant grounds but on the sidewalk next door. The coffee was great, the food was divine and the service was spot on so technically this place hit all the high notes. Don’t miss out on the breakfast bruschetta. it’s HUGE!

This place gets packed on the weekends so make sure you get there early otherwise you risk standing in the sun till a table is free. The breakfast menu is big so plenty to choose from. Customer service and food is quick.

Like most people have said, great breakfast. I mean really nice! The service was ok. The server was overworked, and therefore seemed rude, but I think it was her workload. Nice coffee. My partner ordered a juice off the menu, which was more expensive and smaller than my custom ordered freshly made juice. Go figure. Parking is crazy. We were staying at the Intercon, so thankfully were already parked. We watched the rangers on a Saturday morning handing out parking tickets like prostitute flyers in Vegas!

Went here for breakfast and it was amazing! The service was fast and attentive. It is well priced for what you get. Double Bay, double pay remember! Yum!!! 11⁄10 service!!! 11⁄10 for quality and quantity of food and coffee!!! 8⁄10 for the smoothies! 3⁄10 for the iced coffee(YUCKY) I don’t like instant coffee with ice cubes. 10⁄10 all over!!!

The absolute most perfect spot for breakfast. You feel like you’re eating in a movie scene. The breeze adds to the gorgeous outdoor vibes, only to be beaten by amazing food. Organic and gluten free friendly, I wish I could eat here daily. The fresh juices and coffee drinks added to an otherwise perfect meal!

My French pressed eggs were underwhelming, but satisfying. Turkish bread pairs well with it. Friends highly recommend the corn fritter & pancakes. Should’ve listened to them! My friend got the bruschetta and it had a ton of avocado & tomato. Huge portion, sweet & fresh tomatoes — really beautiful presentation. Pricey breakfast but nice to sit outside. Expect about an hour or so wait on the weekends for table of 4. Wouldn’t go here on the regular but nice for a treat, meeting someone new, or for guests visiting Sydney.

Great food, a good selection & you can’t fault the size of the meals! Sure its Double Bay so you expect to pay a little more but it doesn’t cost more than any other café! You just need to time your arrival to avoid the queues! Great spot for people watching too :)

This is my go-to brunch spot. Friendly and efficient staff(not to mention good looking too!), a vast menu, fast servings of truly delicious food, and great coffee. Sure it’s pricey but this is Double Bay and the portion sizes are generous. It must be doing something right as it’s always packed. If you haven’t been, go!

Indigo is a hidden gem in the heart of Double Bay. It’s the meeting place, the coffee Haus, the epicenter of Double Bay, and all for good reasons. They have their customer service down to a tea, it’s perfect, someone would guess they employ mind readers to serve your favorite brew before you even sit down. Sit down to cold water, glasses and menus. Every café should have service like Indigo café. It’s struck gold with seating, and somehow persuaded council to allow them to put seating in the medium strip patch of greenery in-front of their café — don’t worry it’s a dead end quiet road, with minimal traffic. Be prepared to wait for a seat on the weekend, as it can get quiet busy for breakfast and lunch. Although, it’s worth the wait, as you walk up to the café, the friendly waiters will add your name straight onto the list.

Double Bay became Double Pay and then Double Yawn and now, if you’re asking me, it’s Double Anything Around Here Seems Impossible. It doesn’t really have the same ring to it as the others does it. But nevermind. There’s a backstory to that(as I try never to be without context). On my first visit to the sexy café with the sexy young staff who give sexy eastern suburbs peeps their sexy coffee and bring them their sexy food, I was almost brought to happy tears looking at the specials board which had displayed, in one line and I would say in probably Times New Roman font, the dual and triple-syllable words Chicken and Mushroom Fettuccine. It was a thoroughly phenomenal Chicken and Mushroom Fettuccine. In this particular case, simple, not sexy, did it. So I came back. Wasn’t there. I chose another dish but wrong move(it had the stain of eastern suburbs-standard, expensive café food). I came back again. Not there. And again. Not there. And again. Not there. And again. Not there. So tired of poached eggs with spinach and mushroom. You almost had me.

I adore this cute little café in Double Bay which makes you feel like you’re sitting on Rodeo Drive celebrity watching. This restaurant is definitely one of the places you will find the locals. They make excellent coffee and it’s a superb place to grab breakfast. I always find the staff to be friendly and accommodating. It can be a challenge trying to find a free table, it does tend to full up quite quickly. There coffee is very good and I like the variety of food on the menu. My fave choices for breakky are — open smoked salmon omelette w/ricotta, spanish onion, capers, baby spinach & preserved lemon($ 19.90) and fresh tasmanian smoked salmon benedict w/poached eggs, hollandaise & micro herbs($ 17.90)… It’s a bit pricey which is what I think lets it down — but considering the Double Bay clientele i’m sure they can afford to spend a little bit extra… a great place to go if you feel like something a little bit fancy.
