I live on the college crescent, so Le Miel often shows up on my Unilocal searches for«coffee». It also seems to show up when I search for«best coffee in the universe» and«holy cow i’m desperate for some earth-shattering coffee!» The coffee is lovely. I do recommend it. Also great is the food(avo and toast and poached eggs and delectable baked goods – your standard aussie fare), the ambience(quiet and uncluttered, lovely plants placed here and there), and the waitstaff(really laid back and striking that perfect note of chatty friendliness).

It’s a really sharp, chill looking place! It’s an awesome layout that allows for bigger groups, individuals with out over crowding the small rooms. It’s not the biggest space so if you’re going to go try to make it outside of peak times! The food was supreme! I had the French toast, it came with butterscotch bananas, bacon and pistachios crushed over the top! It was incredible! It was very similar to Canadian pancakes with the sweet and bacon working together better than peanut butter and jelly! The long black I had was yum! Proudly using Proud Mary coffee it was a treat and something I would go back for. All in all it was a great visit and well worth a trip to by one and all.

The food here is incredible! And very reasonably priced. I’ve tried the burger and corn fritters and both were exquisite. So much flavour! Totally recommend this place if you like food.

This is a lovely place to hang out on a nice sunny day when all the windows are open. Sitting at the large table in the middle is just a nice way to while-away some time. Good coffee, the eggs were cooked to perfection, and the mushrooms were lovely. I will definitely visit again.

This place is bright and friendly with gorgeous industrial window fittings on the west side. They use proud Mary coffee and they use it well. My lattes have always been super smooth and tasty. Food? Delicious. Asian influenced breakfasts that change regularly(my personal favourite is the corn fritters … So crunchy) A little exxy but can’t complain past a few dollars. Id love to see some more cakes.

During my first two months living in Carlton, the five girls living in our house aka«the swanston babes» failed in our attempt to set up the wireless internet. This forced us to find different ways of scabbing free wifi from where ever we could. I remember the first time I ordered breakfast here, poached eggs on toast with salsa, guacamole and beans. I’d say they’ve got some of the best breakfast meals in Melbourne! MMM, the chai latte’s has a side of honey that makes it that much tastier. After one coffee at Le Miel we were hooked. I swear we spent an entire week eating breakfast and doing our uni work at the café. However, this is not a student friendly priced place. Before we knew it, we were broke and realized it would be cheaper to suss out the wifi in our house. We’ve had internet now for a few months which is nice but we definitely see less of each other because of it. When we aren’t overwhelmed with work and have some free time on our hands, we try and head here for a coffee on the go. Sometimes we even splurge and share one of the muffins. Do it, they are delicious!
