Es Teler 77

This is my regular and local Indonesian food. Keeps me happy when I am homesick and missing some home style cooking.
The place is cheap, cash only, and is a very casual affair.
All the dishes on the menu are up on the wall as well to make it easy if you’re not familiar with the dishes.
Nasi goreng is popular, but try the kwe tiauw goreng too (flat rice noodle fried with your protein of choice).
Kids will love the Batagor (deep fried fish cake with peanut and sweet soy sauce)
and make room for the many icy drinks. Try the signature, Es teler — shaved ice with condensed milk and rose syrup on mixed seasonal exotic fruit.
My only tip is stay away from the squid in most dishes (2 bad experiences. them squids are suspicious…)

Cheap eats and bang for your buck. Students can flash their student IDs and get a free box of Teh Kotak. I’ve had the nasi uduk and the oxtail soup and would readily order it the next time I’m there.
