Forget about phở in this place. It is known for their CRISPYFRIEDCHICKEN. My friend has been raving about this place to me for the longest time and when I finally visited her, she took me here for lunch. It was not that crowded as we got there before 12pm and about 1⁄3 of the place was occupied. I heard the line can be very long during the peak lunch/dinner hours as it is very popular. The menu is quite unlike other Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. The focus is more on chicken — fried crispy and even Hainan style. Coming from Singapore where Hainanese chicken rice is like one of the national dishes, that caught me by surprise. And no, I did not order it. For the crispy fried chicken, you can choose which carb to be served with — egg noodles, drop noodles(no idea what that is), rice noodles, tomato rice or just on its own. I had the egg noodles as recommended by my friend but I took it dry. So I got to season it with chili and other stuff. It was fine on its own too. The chicken reminded me of the Malay style fried chicken which was then chopped evenly into slices for easy eating. It was not very oily and the meat was juicy, skin was crispy. It was really very good. You really could not go wrong with a nicely fried crispy chicken. My friend told me the tomato rice was also a good choice to go with the chicken. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant across the road. Tip: Cash only as Eftpos is not available. No spilt billing as stated on menu

As good as the original in Cabramatta.

Been to the one in Cabramatta and they just opened one in Canley Heights, which is not too far from here and the parking/crowd isn’t as bad. I usually get the crispy chicken and noodle soup — which is AMAZING, but this time opted to try the duck noodle soup, per my cousin’s suggestions. The broth is cooked with duck and the meat just falls off the bone. Very tasty but I gotta say the Crispy Chicken is the best thing on the menu. The Soda Chanh — Soda Lemonade is YUMMY! Still gets crowded and you have to queue up but its not as busy as the Cabramatta one, so come here if you want to avoid the crowd and not have to wait.
