To be honest it’s not really northern style and it’s not as good as before. However it’s not on the bad side either. Some days it’s good someday it’s bad. There was time the soup tasted like salted water. Basically it’s about luck when eating here. If you’re lucky you get fresh food and delicious

Don’t think I can give anything less than 5 stars. Good food at reasonable price. Extensive menu. It’s right next to the famous Tan Viet but I think it’s better than Tan Viet.

A bunch of my friends and I(one of them being Vietnamese) rode our bikes from Macquarie Uni to Cabramatta for authentic Vietnamese food. We went to the newer Huong Xu in Cabramatta. We all wanted different things. Everything there was beautiful!!! It made the 30 km ride well worth it. Beautiful food. Everyone loved it.

The Vietnamese cuisine here is Northern style so it’s a little different to it’s southern cousins in flavours, spices and condiments used… Even the names could be confusing if you’re used to the traditional southern vietnamese eateries. I like the phở here as it is a little different, it has a ‘cleaner’ taste, from cultural knowledge the Northerners don’t use all the spices that go into the broth like in the south hence a ‘cleaner’ and lighter taste. Plus it’s my go to on a late night when everything else is closed. Best bets here are the ‘Phở’ — Beef/Chicken Noodle Soup and the ‘Bun Cha’ — North Style pork/mushroom stuffed fried rice rolls with vermicelli and herbs to wrap. These are their specialities, however if you’re used to the sweet, salty, sour dipping sauce I’m afraid you’ll have to concoct your own as I do by adding extra fish sauce, sugar and lemon juice. A little cumbersome but if you love your food then you’d make the sacrifice. Have an open mind when you come here and indulge in the unique and difference Vietnamese flavours. It’s Vietnamese like you’ve never known it

Do not order the Hai nan Chicken, all bones barely any meat on it. My dining partner said the beef soup was average. The fresh rolls were nice though, however it’s hard to make bad ones.
