DONOTEATHERE, absolute thieves! This place is a disgrace, the owners couldn’t be nastier and more insulting. Went there twice in the same week, weekday and weekend, and the portion was half the size in the weekend! The owner didn’t even offer an appology or a complementary coffee, just said«the bread was smaller» hahaha After I showed them the picture of what I had during the week because I was going to highly recommend it, his face changed. What a pair of thieves they are, DONOTGOTOTHISHORRIBLEPLACE!

Yes, the service is as good as everyone says! The chef even comes out and takes your order if the awesome waitress is pushed to the limit, and he knows how to wait tables properly too — team effort. The coffee is maybe my favourite on Darling St, especially the iced latte. I have a lot of scrambled eggs here because they are the nicest, simplest and freshest scambled eggs I have ever eaten. But all the menu items are super too including the turkish meals which are proof that turkish food can be light and healthy… yummy.

Got to agree with the other reviews here about the service. It was exceptional! Very friendly and attentive staff a real nice thing for the local community café scene as a lot of places miss that touch! I had the baked eggs in mince– it was yummy nothing amazing(compared to the mince at Kazbah) but definitely super tasty and worth the price. A cute café, easy to make a stop over whilst browsing Darling St!

Nice ambiance, high quality food and drinks and good service. Great options for breakfast — a café that I’ll definitely return to. Yay!

Stunning airy ambience, let the breeze flow in this well decorate café society land. The plants hanging right ner the ceiling towards the kitchen area is somewhat unique, although the plants aren’t real. Who cares. inside or outside, it doesn’t matter. The staff are rather mature and attentive. The winner has to be the all day breakfast. The banana bread with the ricotta cheese and berry compote($ 7.90) was better than expected. Moist bread, and delicious berries. I wanted more of the latter. They ran out of ricotta cheese, yet cream cheese made way for a perfect substitute. Their pots of tea($ 3.50) are real pots of purity. Went for the Chinese Sencha; divine and great for the tummy and reduces those cravings. Great service and fresh ambience. The water(without even asking for it) with the lemony taste was unique, refreshing and a great touch. LOVEIT. Balmain needs this institution of culinary delights and sensational tea to stay. They also use Toby’s Estate coffee.

What a cute little restaurant on Darling Street in Balmain! The design of this newly opened restaurants(about 2 months) is very refereshing: the white walls are accompanied by small potted plants that sit into the wall, light wooden tables, and simple, soft and bright colours, like the yellow flowers and yellow and white striped cups that add a nice accent. From their website, their food is described as «down to earth Mediterranean influenced modern Australian food.» Honestly, the real reason why I picked this place apart from it’s cute décor, is because there were also seats available outside and in the warm sun, especially on a beautiful winter day in July. The food was average; I tried both the Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon as well as the Lamb Mince, Mushroom, Capsicum, Eggplant, Spinach, Feta aka Breakfast in a Clay Pot that was served with Two Fried Eggs and Turkish Bread. Service was great there and a few times we had been asked if everything was going okay. After realizing how nice and friendly the staff was, that’s when I asked how long they had been opened for. I hope that the service of the staff remains the same and that the food gets some more flavour because this could be an even better place.
