Brilliant for brunch (and lunch too!) This café changed ownership last year and it is all the better for it.
The new ownership comprises of a team from Attica, including a brilliant chef that updates the menu regularly with interesting and delicious creations. The usual egg options are there, plus a variety of dishes such as the popular Macho Man Randy Sandwich.
Coffee from Padre and expertly made with local organic milk.
Friendly team bringing a well overdue and much needed customer service quality to Albert Park. They’re in a league of their own here.

Great Coffee and Breakfast at this joint. Had the Their version of avo smash that had a Mexican style twist to it.
There was also a great selection of ready made sandwiches and sweets that I will have to come back and try (hello pork Bahn Mi!)

A café with attentive staff, interesting menu and definite potential.
The Guilty Moose has all the elements for success, a menu that includes options for the gluten intolerant and veggie/​vegan set, plenty of seating options from the rear courtyard to the rustic indoor space and footpath communal tables. There is lounge music gently playing throughout, table service, plenty of newspapers and good old payWave.
What went wrong then? Not a lot to be honest, the coffee was good, the food came out in an acceptable time but the lamb piadina was dry, the okonomiyaki had a touch too much Mayo and the bones were still in the trout.
There are some good looking pre made options in the front counter including gluten free brownies so perhaps these may have been better choices.
I am sure with time the moose will be able to iron out the food glitches and become a solid 3.
