Oh DOC you never disappoint. Had to try out the newish one at Albert park which is close to home. Started off with a salumi board which came with a beautifully smoked mozzarella that was delectable. The cured meats selection, San Daniele prosciutto, mortadella, bresaola and pancetta were all fresh and delicious paired with some rustic Italian bread drizzled in olive oil.
We then proceeded to share a pizza, the daily special which combined prosciutto, fig and Gorgonzola. It was cooked to perfection and the pastry so delicious I didn’t want to miss a mouthful.
The rocket, parmesan and pear salad. Although just a side was amazing with a special honey dressing.
Have to say can not wait to go back. Even though it was hot the courtyard was well shaded and pleasant. The salumi board is definitely a good option for the summer weather.

The latest edition to the D.O.C family and you’ll still find the most incredible pizzas here, as well as the added bonus of a car park!
A menu comprising, or should I say specialising in prosciutto, mozzarella, pizzas and salads — YUM!
Pizza bases are very important when it comes to rating a pizza, followed by the toppings, but you won’t have to worry about either of those at this place, because these guys have nailed it.
The layout is slightyly bigger than its Carlton sibling (I think), however it’s still just as crowded and loud.
Staff are friendly and helpful and happy to explain those Italian words to you on your menu.
Go with a group and order a few pizzas, or an abundance in my case and share the love.
Tip: No bookings unless in a group of 7 or more people.
