Stax

As others have mentioned, the menu at Stax is pretty good. What is awesome however are my two staples, the Gyro sub (vegetarian heaven) and The Big Salad.
Downstairs @ Waymouth Street is hustle and bustle, but you can sit upstairs, which is pleasant. There are some other Stax locations around Adelaide, and for lunchtime fare, highly recommended.

Fantastic combo. Great food and even greater coffee. The one two punch. It’s no wonder that these places get a good amount of business from the get go. It has a cozy atmosphere, typical for most café, but it expands out into the Santos foyer.
Really good lunch wraps, fresh ingredients and in all kind of varieties. Soup for winter is a great choice for a snack.

Stax sandwiches are definitely of the sort that get your tummy rumbling come twelve o’clock. They smell, look and taste delicious. Definitely the sort which are capable of satisfying any extreme lunchtime cravings.
There are a number of tables to sit down and enjoy your lunch, and the overall atmosphere in here is rather hustle and bustle. The coffee is nothing to rave about, however the subs, salads and sandwiches do take the cake.
There are few Stax venues scattered around the place, which I believe are most heavily directed towards the «office man» club. Probably why you won’t find a Stax coffee and sandwich house pending towards the shopping centre, and the leisurely parts of the city.
It may also be worthwhile knowing that Stax offer catering options, and remain quite popular for office team meetings thanks to the provided taste and overall appeal.

A Stax salad a day — keeps the Doctors away!
I have been going to Stax on Flinders Street nearly every working day for 4 weeks and I am in love! Not only is it healthy but they are yummy salads & subs! I love the fact that you can order from the menu or choose your own ingredients– it can be as basic or as gourmet as you like. There are a number of tables inside and out so you can enjoy your lunch away from the office as well. They can get a little busy and sometimes the staff can get caught up in it, but the food really does make up for this. This franchise is really onto a winning recipe here. I too, believe they make the best lunch salads I have discovered in Adelaide!
