Yorba Linda Feed Store

They have a lot of good food to choose from here! Prices are very good compared to ither places. However their staff SUCKS! Like the other reviews say the girls that work here are not friendly at all and have no knowledge on the types of food they carry. Fire them and hire people that enjoy their job!

Super friendly and knowledgable staff. Watch out for Dozer, the English bulldog, roaming around. I almost tripped over him. They carry EQyss megatek which is hard to find. It is a bit over priced but if you don’t want to wait for the online shipping this is the spot to go.

Sad I have to give this place one star. Went there yesterday to buy chicken feed and the bag was full of bugs. Brought it back to get a new bag and the young blond woman behind the counter was extremely condescending and rude. I had to argue to get a new bag. I brought home the new bag and opened it up, crawling with bugs. Unfortunately their store is closed but I’m going to have to go back tomorrow and try to get a refund. This is the third time I’ve gone there and dealt with very rude, unhelpful, condescending children with the most entitled type of attitudes you could imagine. Once I get my money back they will never get my business again. So sad these people have no pride in what they do…

I come here for my poultry supplies. They have good prices on feed and deliver it to your car for you and delivery to my car is always fast and the guys are great. They also sell chicks too!

This is our go to place for getting our Taste of the Wild dog food for our golden. They always have great products and selection!

I like the store, I just wish the staff was friendlier. I don’t know what the matter is over there, but every clerk that has checked me out seems to want to be somewhere else. They rarely say much of anything and never smile. I can understand someone having a bad day, but this is a consistent behavior at this store, with every sales person I have met.
I live close to this store but actually prefer going much farther to Anaheim Feed. Larger selection and the employees are much friendlier and helpful. And they actually smile!

Rude, rude, rude /​sarcastic too and would never go back and these were managers. Comparing price and looking for bully sticks and their knowledge was a D– and their pricing was overpriced !!

Worst feed store I have ever dealt with! The store is close to my house and therefore, I was excited to give them my business. I have been going there for 3 years hoping that my experiences would improve. The front office girls are pretty clueless and gave me a quote for dog shots when I called for equine shots pricing a few months ago. They do not regularly carry a feed that I need and therefore, I repeatedly have attempted to order it before i run out. Every few months, I would call ahead and ask what procedure I needed to try this time to get it in on time. First I was told to leave my credit card with them, then the next time told not to leave card and pay when it came in and month after month I was given the run around. Finally, before deciding never to go there again, I asked to speak to a manager in the back office. I explained my frustrations with constantly being given the run around every couple months and he didn’t have a resolution, nor seemed to care at all that my feed had not been ordered on time again. I took my business to Hitchin Post in Orange and couldn’t be happier. True customer service and great prices there. Plus, Hitchin post delivers for free on orders over 100 dollars!

After reading these reviews, I found that I’m not the only one that thinks these employees are rude. I normally shop at Anaheim Feed, but was in a hurry today and this place was right next to my work. I had to grab a bag of food since I’m on my way out of town. They had the brand, but not the flavor I wanted. I asked the cashier if they had the duck flavor and (without walking over to where I was to look) she said they have not carried that flavor before. I thought «okay. I’ll just get another flavor.» Then I saw the sign that says all the flavors they carry and duck was one of them. She was more concerned about talking with her co-​worker than she was about helping me. So pissed off that I just left. Thankfully Anaheim Feed had the food and was super helpful. I know that I will never make the mistake of shopping at Yorba Linda Feed again. Anaheim Feed is way better.

Wow! This place has everything! Best of all they carry victor dog food and their prices are amazing! Found my new pet store! Will definitely be back!

First time here at this feed store and here are my thoughts and the main reason I will come back:
The good:
Prices are better than many – although the not the cheapest. Selection is good, so is the layout. Had everything I needed for my chickens and my dog.
The bad:
The girl at the counter – NOT FRIENDLY. Couldn’t smile to greet a customer. I was the only one there and she clearly didn’t have much work to do, the LEAST you could do is be friendly, welcoming and ask it she could help with anything. If it wasn’t for this last point I would never go back.
The great:
The only reason I will ever go back. The guys that work in the back. The only guy that acknowledged me and was friendly in the store, was the guy stocking the shelves. He happen to be the same guy that brought out everything I bought and was VERY friendly, VERY hardworking, and took time to ask how you were, to look at you in the eyes, to thank you and to wish you a great day. Why isn’t everyone in the service industry like this?
I wish I caught his name – but he is the ONLY reason I have more than 2 stars.

If you live and care for your pets as I do, you cannot find a better selection of quality food, treats and products than you will find here. I also like the fact that the employees truly know their stuff. They don’t try to sell you the latest fad, but truly know about their products.

I also want to like this store but the staff is horrible. They chat with their customer friends as you wait and wait they act annoyed that the need to help you. Simple questions are met with brush off responses.
It is so close to my work but I refuse to be treated so poorly.
Don’t go here.

Useless staff that was very unfriendly. Super apathetic and not customer service oriented. They had only 2 of the 3 items I was after and didn’t offer any alternate products. So I left empty-​handed because after striking out twice and having to deal with rude girls that apparently hate their jobs, I wasn’t going to give this place any of my money. I will drive farther to get good products and service as needed.
And PS watch for the customers that are leaving… they apparently don’t look before backing and I almost got hit while walking to the entrance by a white MBZ SUV.

My wife and I usually prefer to come here over the big chain places like Petsmart or Petco. Everything is just a lot easier to find and quicker to get to. I’m usually in and out of here in no more than five minutes. Nice, friendly staff, I always love seeing people bring their dogs in. It’s just a clean, fun, welcoming environment. Prices are very reasonable, can’t say i ever had a disagreement with anything they have on their shelves.
Rabbits especially need a lot of timothy hay in their diet and I was told that the pellets they make in house has a mixture of the timothy hay in it. This is comforting for when the rabbits aren’t in the mood for the hay and want only pellets.
The entrance you could easily miss it, its just behind the chuck-​e-​cheese and the church. Its not too busy of a street but cars do tend to come quickly through that turn, so i insist you be careful when you loop around to pull out.

I really wish I loved this place, because it is right on my way home from work, to my house in Yorba Linda. However, I will drive 30 minutes out of my way, to Anaheim Feed Store, for three reasons.
1) Unfriendly staff. Don’t get me wrong, they are not rude. Just, plain — not friendly. They are indifferent. They just watch you shop at the cash register, and I always feel like I am annoying them if I ask a question. The staff at Anaheim Feed are awesome. They love helping, excited about their products, and are great sales people. As a grain free, lover of organic and raw dog food — I LOVE when they tell me about all their great new products, toys, treats ect– and usually buy it! Yorba Linda just seem to be unenthusiastic, cashiers & money takers.
2) Prices are a bit higher.
3) Don’t sell flea medicine individually. I volunteer for a dog rescue, so am always getting different size foster dogs in and out of my house. I always need to buy the flea medicine individually, because I never know what size dog I’ll have, and usually only have them for a short time. I understand it is an inconvenience to break apart a pack, but Anaheim Feed is always graciously willing to do it. And, going that extra mile, brings me back there.

Nice store, easy in and easy out and they have the hard-​to-​find stuff you can’t find at the larger chain stores. Prices are fair too.

I love buying hay from this place! They’re cheaper than the feed store close to me. Staff are nice and friendly.

I had maybe been to this store one time before and it was a super long time ago. I really cant remember the experience or what I was even in there for, it was that long. I don’t remember it being unpleasant. This review is in regards to my second visit.
I went to Anaheim Feed to get a particular product, but it was on back order for an unknown amount of time. I was pretty frustrated to think I would have to order the product off the internet and wait because my dogs really needed it. I didn’t want to drive all over the place so I gave YL Feed a call. The girl that answered the phone was extremely polite and helpful. She went and checked and sure enough, they had it!
When I got there, I discovered that it wasn’t the exact same strength or size bottle that we normally get, but it was the same stuff. I was desperate so I decided to purchase it anyway. I’m glad I did because so far, it works just as well. The girls working were just as friendly in the store as they were on the phone.
The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because this was only my second time shopping there and it was pretty pricey for the smaller bottle when I can get the large bottle with higher potency for the same or less than what they charged. No big thing tho. I was in a pinch and YL Feed came to the rescue! Even with the price being higher, I would definitely purchase the product here again just for the sheer convenience of it.
