We have been using Community lock for over 10 years, We gave them an opportunity to bid a Access control project at our new office. Matt was the supervisor and really only contact there. We have had nothing but problems from the get go and now after 2 months and constant back and forth we still can not fully use the access control. One day we can get in and the next nothing we have had no customer support and every time we call they never get back to us. We are presently filing suit against them, asking our credit card company to refund our money, filing a complaint with the Contractor State License board, BNI and the BBB. Do yourself a favor and avoid the constant frustration. They have been fully paid and now have disappeared and won’t support the product.

Other locksmiths were charging $ 89 dollars to have the key cut for my lexus. Lexus dealer wanted $ 129. I called this locksmith. He was honest, fast, and courteous. Charged me exactly what he quoted me on the phone and I even got a Ram’s home key made since they made the announcement to come to Cali yesterday.

Had to get some keys made and the big, burly man behind the counter was so nice. Got my keys made in 5 minutes, if that. He’s also competitively priced, couple bucks depending on what brand of keys.
Might I add, he also has a pretty extensive selection of unique keys, probably the the most I’ve ever seen.
Would definitely recommend this place. Super convenient.

Had a problem with the front doors to my business not opening properly due to an alignment problem. The technician arrived early for our appointment, was friendly and got right to work. The repair only took about 10 minutes and the door works perfectly. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Returned to get keys re cut first would not work then I noticed posted at their cashier’s window a local political notice that can be a hot topic for local residents. Displaying your opinion to your customers may not be a good marketing tool especially if your customers are opposed to their opinion. I was offended and don’t wish to patronize a COMMUNITY business that wants to force their opinion on their customers.

Excellent customer service! They’ve got me in my car in a quick minute and they got to me faster than any tow I’ve waited for. I had a broken key and they’ve replaced it with a perfect replica… twice. These guys are very friendly and reasonably priced. An easy recommend!

This company is top notch! I am the Operations Director at a local company. We bid out several jobs for keyless entry, Video Security, alarm security. Rick came and walk the job submitted his bid within a week. Needless to say we hired Community lock for our first property without informing them if this job went well we would give them the other properties too. This first big job was completed within a reasonable amount of time. I was given a very informative one on one training with their main tech on how to operate the system. Of course the first 30 days was a doozy to get to understand the system. However, I do have to say every time I called for tech support Rick had his guys at my service within 1 hour max.
I was impressed by this company so I proceeded to give them 5 more jobs ranging from video security install to card access systems to building alarms. We have also used Community Lock as one of our permanent vendors for day to day lock issues.
I come across MANY vendors for MANY jobs within my company. I can say that Community Lock is my company for anything locksmith or security related.

I called to make an appointment to have my locks rekeyed. I was quoted a fair price & was asked if they could come out the same day to do the work. I was unable to have the locks done that day, so I agreed to have somebody come out to my house the following day between 11:00 — 1:00. I requested that they call me before coming over, as I have things to do within that 2 hr time span other than just to sit, wait & listen for the doorbell. At about 12:55 a locksmith shows up on my doorstep without calling first. I figured that since I hadn’t heard from them before 12:55 that they were not coming. Therefore, I made plans to meet a friend for lunch. When I called the company to complain, I did not get an apology like I had hoped. Instead the man answering the phone said to me, «Well, I told him to call.» I then cancelled my appointment & figured I would take my business elsewhere. The customer service here is rather disappointing, which is too bad because I would prefer to use local companies when doing business.

Recently I got a Keyport Slide (basically a fancy keychain) and it uses custom key blades.
I originally went to a locksmith next to my office and they made a big deal about trouble cutting them, etc etc. They just whined and said I had the wrong blades and other excuses. They even said something about getting the keys decoded, blah blah blah. I think they wanted to rip me off so I left.
I then found Community Lock & Safe Service here on Unilocal and stopped by since they are local to my work. They cut the custom blades just as any other key, no excuses or whining like their competitor. They work perfect and I was in and out in a few quick minutes.
I will be using these guys in the future. Thanks for the quick and friendly service!

They make key duplicates just fine. But when I asked them if they provide residential video security monitoring systems, they emphatically said, «Yes!» Sure enough they came by and did a full walk-​through of our house, afterward saying an estimate was forthcoming. A week passed, then two, three… then a month. I called and they said sorry… they’ve been busy. Three more weeks passed. Finally I wrote an email to the owner, who replied, «…we don’t have the scaffolding to do your home.» Huh?! They bragged about doing the systems at a local hospital, but they can’t follow through on a house? And why no communication? Terrible.
I wasted almost two months waiting for their estimate. I contacted a real video security company and got the job done.
