I have pretty mixed feelings about this store. The store is open, clean, and what you would expect from a big box store. The staff is nice enough and that smell of popcorn is always temping when you walk in! Target had long been a staple of the Yakima valley as a solid choice for a superstore, but I recently had an awful experience. Historically, this has been my ‘go-to’ place for a big box store. So why the less than stellar review? The service counter has been merged with the normal checkout lanes. Instead of just returns/customer service line, this line is a remarkably less efficient hybrid of the two. I placed an order online and it took longer to pick up my item in this line than it would have to find the item myself and do a normal checkout — which seems to defeat the purpose. To top it off, they screwed up my order and gave me the wrong rug. Instead of taking it to the customer service counter(which no longer exists independently) — I was told I’d need to wait in line for my turn. After flagging down a random employee, I was informed that I should go back to find the correct item and wait through that painfully inefficient line again. To up the ante, they had to get a manager to approve the transaction since they gave me the wrong item to begin with. Total time in store = 50 minutes to pick up a rug! Yikes. At least Walmart gets my online orders correct. Hopefully this was an isolated incident that won’t happen again, but it’ll be a long while before I head back to Target! .

Literally just returned some oatmeal bars because they were expired… went to get a new box and several others were expired. I got one that wasn’t expired and did some grocery shopping while there. I don’t know why I didn’t learn my lesson the first time but not one but BOTH of my packages of rice are expired. I see a trend here but I’ll shut my mouth before I say something rude. Also, again its my bad for not checking, but my veggie bag(broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) expires in 1 day. Expired healthy food items… probably don’t get much sales at this store but I would hope their employees are trained that when they pull product on shelves to the front, they should check the expiration dates. Not cool Target.

Your typical Target store. Most Target stores are laid out the same so it is really easy find items that you need. But why would you go to Target when you have Fred Meyers? Unforturnately I don’t have any Fred Meyers in the LA area.

It’s Target, it’s what you expect. We waited in line for about 10 minutes to checkout and when it was our turn a «Manager» walked up and turned off the register light and said«This register is closed, we will help you on(Register#)». I was kind of confused but went in that direction. The register I was sent away from was then used to ring up an employee and the register I was sent to didn’t have an employee. The Manager and employee at our original register joked and laughed and had a good time as they rang items up. We sat at the checkout counter that had a light but no employee for several minutes. Eventually a cashier came and without saying a word, rang us up. We paid and left. Walmart must do emlpoyee training for Target.

Target and Walmart, both good places to shop at if you forget something while traveling, or if you need something. This Target is your run of the mill Targets that you find across America, so if you’ve been in a Target, you know what your going to get! If you haven;t been to one– well they have a lot of stuff but you have to watch out what you buy as some are more expensive then what you can get at other places, but you also find a lot of good deals, and if you have the red card thing you can save more money when you use it!

Nice store, well stocked. I’m sensing a theme in Yakima… every store has a lot of security guards, I guess that’s a good thing but it makes me wonder why they need so many… anyway, this location is great, good selection of food, wine and band aids, which is what I shopped for. Better than the Yakima Walmart, by 10x’s!

What the what… Target has everything BUT phone cards. Popped in here looking for a phone card(not pre-paid wireless, they had plenty) and couldn’t find a darn thing. Pretty clean and well, exactly like any other Target

Hahahhaa. Who doesn’t love Target? I just want to make this short and simple. Their prices are about $ 1 cheaper than Seattle’s stores. The make up is cheaper for sure. Some of their clothes look cuter, but I haven’t been to Target in Seattle for a little over a week. So I’m not sure. But good service, just like any other Target :)

I think it says more about Yakima than Target itself that there are so many glowing reviews of this place. What do you expect? It’s Target. You can get pretty much what you need here for a decent price. Clothes, furniture, household cleaners, small electronics, deodorant, magazines, toilet paper — it’s all here, in one easy location, just waiting for you to come and get it. It’s Target. That’s what Targets are for. My favorite part about Target? It’s right across the parking lot from the liquor store.

Oh my gosh, I love target. Dont think that I’ve always loved target. its something thats grown on me. i used to think«oh riight another ghetto store like K-mart. great.» I was so wrong. lol… I didnt notice their cute clothes for the longest time, and now that i have ive noticed they have THE cutest clothes, for relatively cheap. Alot of these styles you would NOT find anywhere else in Yakima, which makes me sad. They even have really cute kid’s clothes, that are trendy, which is crazy! I never got to dress trendy when i was a kid! Anyways, I digress. They have toiletries, including contact solution and cleaner, they have household items that are also usually quite trendy and cheap, they have videos and video games and consoles, they have accessories, including scarves, earrings, and purses, the list goes on and on. I get all of my cleaning supplies here because its cheap and the quality is still pretty good. They also have pet supplies and food for cats and dogs. They have SMALL selection of food just fyi. its mainly snacks and that sort of thing… Anyways, make your way down to a target!

Thank goodness Yakima had a Target. It gave me something to look forward to in such a dismal, miserable town. Nobody here asks if they can help you. You’re lucky if they look at you when you’re checking out. Eventually I stopped patronizing Target and going to Fred Meyer’s. What can I say? I like good service but expect the bare minimum(a greeting, eye contact and a thank you). Three stars because the service slowly started to improve before I left The Yak.

What do you do when you drive from Seattle to Yakima for the weekend and realize you forgot to pack deodorant? Why you head to Target and pick some up. This Target is a BUSY place and kind of reminded me of my Target back in San Diego, but I think only because there was so much Spanish being spoken here, I liked it I did. When in Yakima and you need some deodorant or bottled water or diet coke or pop tarts or socks or shoes or a Tide stick or chocolate or wine or a new top or a new CD or a DVD player or a book or a magazine or mascara or Advil or Claritin or a camera or a phone or a TV or some batteries or Tums or Band-Aids or maybe you just have time to kill and want to stay cool you can do that at this Target as well. It’s a good Target with lots of everything. Be sure to forget something on your next visit so you have an excuse to stop in.
