OPP Swap & Shop

5 Stars for a fun event that brings locals together for the equivalent of supermarket sweeps– fashion style!
The Swap & Shops (put on by local brand, Other People’s Property) happen a few times a year and involve dropping off your unwanted clothes a day or two before the event, paying a small ticket amount, and then arriving at the event to fill your bags with other people’s property (I’m so clever).
I love that you don’t know what you’re going to get. Though there’s an initial frenzy you can plot your route because the clothes/​shoes/​accessories are organized by type. What makes the swaps work is that the same people who want to find great fashionable outfits have provided their great, as joinable outfits. Meaning the picking is pretty good.
On the men’s side– there isn’t typically a lot to choose from. This is more a girl’s party. And that’s A-​Ok with me!
