I wouldn’t fly any other airline. The costumer service and crew are the best!

Can’t tell you how nasty the counter staff were. Couldn’t be bothered to assist. Seemed more interested in chatting with each other. There planes are small and cramped and the seating situation is terrible. We will never fly this airline again if we don’t have to.

Think twice, or three times, before booking Southwest for travel from Hartford (BDL)! This apparently is a very low priority for them. And, if your flight is cancelled, as the flight I booked for my daughter was yesterday, you can expect NEXT TO NO HELP from SWA. She was offered a flight TWO FULL DAYS later, or from Providence the following day — and good luck getting there, as far as SWA is concerned, you’re on your own — SOL. Hole up in Hartford for two more days — at your own expense, and hope you’re not cancelled again, or somehow get to Providence, try to find a hotel for that night, again, all at your own expense, and hope that you don’t get cancelled again.
One other curious thing. Apparently, when you are cancelled for «weather» you are SOL. I inferred, from what the agent said, that a greater level of service (and ANY service would have been greater) would have been offered if the cancellation was for reasons other than weather. Now, I understand that if Chicago is snowed in, there could be enormous travel disruptions, and folks would have to do the best they could — perhaps even SWA agents. IMHO, in this particular case of bad weather, severe thunderstorms, the scheduled flights could/​should have been flown, of course, on a delayed basis. Would you rather be stranded in Hartford for two days, or be several hours late? I wonder if the flight was to Dallas rather than Hartford how it would have been handled. It was explained to me that SWAs failure to offer any assistance (other than rebooking) was a matter of policy. But here’s the thing. Why is someone stranded by weather less deserving of consideration by SWA? This wasn’t a major snowstorm (on June 22), it was severe thunderstorms. Rather, did it have to do with SWAs lack of interest in flying a half empty plane later on when it was easier to say «cancelled due to weather — you’re on your own.» There is always «weather» somewhere.

I have gotten hooked on flying SWA. Some people don’t care for the herd as you line up in the A, B or C group however have you begun to notice people clutter the area on all other airlines? I mush rather take my spot in like as number A25 than be in Zone 2, cut through the crowd of everyone on that flight hovering by the gate agent and follow the swarm in with Zone 2.
I fly SWA enough last year to be A list nowadays so I was at the SWA gates in BDL many times. I find the gate agents to be incredibly patient and pleasant. I was there for all four seasons and watched them during some of CT’s inclement weather deal with disgruntled travelers while remaining professional and helpful.

Stuck in Hartford for over 4 hours without a good reason. Now told we are delayed even more. This is very bad customer service. They are not telling us the truth and everyone is really upset.

I normally have great a great experience with Southwest but today I had a question and got in line behind one gentleman. Another crew member walked behind the counter and Debbie the girl working the counter focused all her efforts on him without acknowledging the two of us that were in line. I stood in line for 10 minutes before I had to give up and board my flight without even being acknowledged. Horrible customer service by Debbie who was working Gate 6 at 8:30am on April 10^th at Bradley in Hartford. Hopefully Southwest addresses this.

I was flying out of Hartford with my Emotional Support Animal and Southwest was great about giving me a preboard pass so that me and my pooch could be the first on the plane to pick a seat that would fit our needs. Friendly and helpful staff in Hartford — thank you!

Lots of things to love about this airline and a few things to hate overall they work hard to provide a nice flight experience and if I can get a last minute non stop flight I always consider the option.
Pros–
— Airline staff works hard to keep the stress out of flying with their funny routines and cheerful smiles.
— They have some great non stop flight to most of my frequent destinations
— They still offer snacks and my luggage flies free
Cons–
— The boarding procedure is ridiculous people moving from space to space to get in the correct order like it’s some kind of status symbol.
— What’s up with the blue sleeves on the boarding passed I pay extra to get preferred boarding and you free loaders go in front of me on a discount fare.
— No first class seating

Very friendly staff. Quick and easy to get to here and quick and easy to board the flight. No outlets on the chairs so you just see everyone on the floor charging their phones lol. Security is nice with dogs walking everywhere. You feel safe here.

I fly enough (and use enough points) to score a companion pass.. .They always have free bags (2) and I like the class less service.
Its a airline, they aren’t perfect. sometimes they land with the nose instead of the back. Not on my flight, mind you.. .
Yet all in all I will keep coming backk. Its perfect airline for denver, goes everywhere, and man.. .you can’t beat the fact that they treat everyone the same.…I think that under-​rated.

I’m a frequent business traveler and flying Southwest is my preferred airline. I know a lot of people don’t like the cattle call lines, but if your A-​List Preferred you’re going to get on pretty quickly. I like the ease of doing business with them and the clockwork nature of their service. Dependable, convenient, inexpensive, and friendly service.

Recently flew from Houston to Hartford, CT, and back. I must say that they were great at getting me seated and making sure my Service Dog and I were very comfortable on the airplane. Thank you, Kindly, Southwest Airlines. You really know how to take care of disabled Veterans and our service dogs.

I am a fan! On time more than average. I love the boarding process by number. I don’t feel like cattle when I travel Southwest. When given a choice of airlines, this is always my first! Add the $ 10 early boarding to your booking– it is $ 10 worth spending.

I am a fan of Southwest Airlines, but not as much as I used to be. They changed their rapid rewards program, so it is not as generous as before. You get points based on distance/​price rather than per leg. The change makes sense, but it benefits Southwest more than their customers.
Southwest prices can be higher than other airlines too NOW (SWA used to be one of the low cost leaders).
One plus is that they haven’t started charging for checked-​in luggage. You still get two free bags to check-​in.
Another negative is flying from LAX to Hartford, CT. There are no direct flights, so you must first fly to another city, then connect to Hartford (This is true for all airlines, so Southwest is no different than any other airline). I’ve had to fly through Chicago, Baltimore, Orlando, Houston, and Denver. It makes the trip to Hartford or back home to LA that much longer (especially if you have a long layover).
The service on Southwest is usually above average and the flight attendants are friendly and personable.
Overall, Southwest is still a good airlines, but not the cheaper alternative to other airlines any longer.

Wasn’t too sure about the boarding process at first but I am now in love with it and prefer it over the regular or «normal» boarding process on other plans. I am a window sitter and love that I can get on first and get seated and comfortable. I always pay the extra ten bucks for the early bird boarding. It’s worth it! Friendly and funny flight crews, they make the flight just that more enjoyable. Thanks Southwest :)

Great schedule of flights, easy to book, friendly staff, and dependable transportation. In a nutshell, that’s Southwest. Aircraft are clean, comfortable, and safe… and while there is no inflight entertainment (most of their flight segments are short), the above positives more than make up for it. Southwest does what it is intended to do, and they do it well!
