Specialties
We are open to board any breed of dog (spayed/neutered or not) as long as they are friendly to humans.
All dogs get 45 — 60 minutes outside time in the yards around the barn 2 to 3 times daily. That time can be alone or paired with others for playtime. Would you like for your dog to have more than that? Now available: We will take your dog to the orchard out front and spend one-on-one time with him/her. We can just sit there and watch squirrels together or we can play Frisbee or chuck-it tennis ball. We can even just have some supervised sniffing time. Please let us know at check-in if you would like a little extra for your dog. (Weather Permitting)
Our new cat facility features both cage and cage free boarding. The outside patio area that we had hoped to complete this year had to be put on hold yet another year due to a leaky office roof. Expected completion date is now the summer of 2012
History
Established in 2003.
Jeri moved to Sacramento County in 1995 to attended Cosumnes River College’s Veterinary Technology program. She graduated from that program in 1999.
Jeri started out working at Piccadilly Farms Boarding Kennel in Elk Grove in the fall of 1995. She worked there until their retirement in 2003. At which time she opened Badger Creek Kennels. We feature similar indoor/outdoor runs and plenty of fresh air exercise time on grassy exercise yards.

Business Owner
The owners are Jeri Fife-Castillo and her husband David Castillo. Jeri has been working in the kennel business since 1995, and has been the owner of this facility since 2004. Her kennel experience started with her employment and eventual management position at Piccadilly Farms in 1995. She was employed there full time until the owners (Ray Reid and Joan Gibson-Reid) decided to retire after 20 years of business. Jeri has also completed the Registered Veterinary Technician program offered at Cosumnes River College and became a licensed RVT in 1999.
