History

Established in 1996.

Reine was born and raised in Sweden. After completing his regular schooling he went to college, where he graduated with an electronics degree and entered the workforce.

From 1992 – 1994 Reine focused most of his attention racing and modifying shifter karts and other 2 cycle engines. He became quite an accomplished shifter kart driver wining many races and championships. It was also around this time that Reine met and promptly fell in love with his wife Samantha. In 1995 Reine began tuning and building Grand Prix road-​racing bikes and in 1997, after buying out the business where he worked, SwedeTech Racing Engines was formed.

Business Owner

Reine Persson is the only engine builder to win ShifterKart Illustrated’s Engine Builder of the Year multiple times, 2001, 2002, and in 2003. After this much recognition in such a short time span, the award was discontinued.
