Abbey Acres Goldendoodles

I bought her last goldendoodle lastnight and my experience with her was fantastic. Her breeding environment is great. She was very knowledgeable. When I took my brand new pup home she was so smart. She didn’t have any accident at my place. I try to read her body language if she needs to pee or poop. She peed and pooped outside the first night and the next day. I love her to pieces. Exceeded all our expectations! Abbey Acres is the place to find your new best friend. I searched for my puppy for 2years. Reading and researching breeds and breeders. When I spoke with Trish on the phone early 2011, I knew I found the right place. From day one Trish went above and beyond. I was so excited about new puppy and contact her often with questions, she was always patient and informative. I bought my puppy long distance. Trish stood in contact with me via phone and email, sending photos and updates on puppies often. She also provided a video and temperament test. I picked a boy (red boy– Kimah pup) and named him Jackson. He is an amazing Teddy-​bear Doodle, he has a very calm friendly has never barked at another dog or person. He never jumps on anyone. He just sits and waits to be touched and slowly melts in the hands of strangers. He is so gentle with children and small dogs. He is a show stopper for sure! We have people running across the street yelling from there cars asking what kind a dog is he. He is such an amazing gift, my Fiancé and I decide to share the joy he brings us. We have had such a great experience with Abbey Acres. We have had our dog for about two years. She is friendly, rarely barks, is not aggressive towards people or other dogs, hardly sheds, and is happy as can be.
When we brought ours home, she had a couple of «excitement» accidents when someone came to the door or was being played with, but was basically house broken as soon as we brought her home. When she was old enough o be around other dogs and out in public, she has walked with us to our kids school and all the kids like to pet her and feel how soft her coat is. She is great around the kids and loves meeting new people. She has lots of energy and has to be able to get out and run around.
She is still a puppy and likes to chew everything! She chews through chew toys very fast. Treat balls, bones, etc. give her something to do. Soft toys, no matter how strong the maker promises them to be, get chewed through in minutes.

This breeder has a beautiful piece of property where the dogs are born. They are born in an outside dog house with a heater. Supposedly they interact with the family on a daily basis. The breeder was also nice enough to hold onto my puppy a couple of extra weeks since I was on vacation. She said the dog would come inside with them since he was the only one left. Again, thought this was great.
I pick up my puppy which smelled like urine, the breeder told me what a good boy he was, was just about house broken (didn’t have accidents in their house). The was the first thing that wasn’t right. He was not even close to be house broken and did not know the difference between the inside and outside. When I fed him, he rushed his food and ate like he had not eaten in sometime. I have had him for just about 2 months. I have been working on kennel training him with the advise of a trainer. I see a huge difference between this dog and a dog I purchased from a breeder who had the dogs in her house. My previous purchased puppy was much calmer (though has lots of energy, didn’t charge her food like it was her last meal and crate trained easily. She apparently knew the difference between inside and outside. When I was visiting my puppy one time, the breeder had another puppy from a previous liter which they were working with to break the dog of aggressive eating. I like my puppy but regret buying from this breeder. I strongly urge people looking to purchase a dog to get one that is born inside and has more contact with humans from day one. It makes a huge difference.
