Established in 1998.

We took over the Utage Japanese Restaurant which is the first sushi restaurant in DE, established in 1979. Takumi has evolved into becoming the area’s most noted and revered establishment for modern Asian cuisine with all the traditional favorites. There’s something for every appetite and we’re here to satisfy!

Business Owner

The restaurant’s Head Chef is Hideyuki Okubo, also the owner and operator of Takumi. Hideyuki Okubo is highly experienced and trained in the art of cuisine, graduating from Tsuji Culinary Institute while specializing in many types of cuisine. He skillfully blends a mix of different types of Asian cuisine here at Takumi. Hideyuki Okubo has worked in some top five star hotels in Kobe and Tokyo with professional training from a number of top chefs in those hotels. He has helped renovate many dishes at Takumi from appetizers to entrees and inventing a couple new rolls of his own. Here, Takumi truly offers the best combination of skill and creativity.
