This review is for the pre-made sushi(in a refrigerated case at lunch time) only. The Salmon Avocado Roll(Alaskan) was excellent but the Phoenix roll(Tuna outside was fine, inside — not so fresh) was not as fresh as it should be. In the mean time, so far, so good and I may return to try some cooked items. $ 3.50 for the Alaskan Roll(It’s $ 5 on the menu) and $ 6.75 for the Phoenix — which I will not order again.

Looking for a Chinese/Japanese place that delivers to St. Francis Hospital, we decided on Atami Grill and Sushi Express. Decent reviews. I’ll add mine on the good side. The General Tso combination plate came with a nicely spicy but not too spicy sauce(I ordered medium; plenty of spice) as well as very good fried rice.(Not all fried rices are equal…) Just last weekend a friend and I were lamenting the skimpy servings of broccoli you get at most places these days. Atami included three large perfectly steamed florets. A winner. The crab cheese wontons were large and very full, among the best I’ve ever had. A shrimp roll was also full and fresh, but a trifle overdone. Pork egg rolls came with each combination plate; they were good(and not overdone). Two vegetable rolls were added as a side dish. Other places call them spring rolls, really tasty. The pork egg foo young was ordered with extra gravy on the side to be safe. Egg foo young is one of my favorite Chinese dishes(my daughter calls it «egg foo yuck»). This was as good as any I’ve had. The«gravy» wasn’t like normal gravy but was a rich, soy flavored gravy. Really good. On the Japanese side, we ordered the crunchy tempura shrimp roll. I don’t usually order sushi, so I’m certainly not an expert. It was good, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to order it. Both meals also had chicken rice soup. We thought about ordering another of the seven soups, but we both wanted chicken rice. Nice broth, lots of rice, scallions and strips of chicken made this soup a winner. I added a touch of soy sauce to mine. Wonderful. For dessert, 10 Chinese sugar donuts for $ 3.75 would be the perfect end to a wonderful meal except the donuts smelled like egg rolls. I guess they don’t sell enough to make it worth using separate oil? Lots of food. Two combination platters plus sides = plenty of food for 3 – 4 hungry adults. Atami. Well worth the effort.

Attempted to order dinner last night. My wife called and confirmed that they did indeed deliver prior to our ordering. Two entrees and an appetizer — nothing crazy prices were good reviews seemed great for this place at the time of this review. Unfortunately for us it was over 90 minutes since we placed our order that I started to realize that I might be starving tonight. What boggles my mind that most it that the delivery driver texting us 40 minutes into our long wait to confirm the delivery address. It should also be noted that we are2 miles away from the restaurant. At this point 90 minutes in I’m not sure what we’ll be getting but I can guarantee it won’t be hot. We called the restaurant — who in their defense — tried to make things right by guaranteeing our food will be there in 5 minutes after talking to their driver and that they would reduce the price almost in half and assuming it was cold, it’d be free. I know I know free cold food what a deal right? Anyways we waited 15 minutes without the driver showing up before we ultimately called and canceled. Lady on the other end of the phone at the restaurant was unapologetic and honestly kind of a jerk that I finally gave up after almost 2 hours on a 30 – 40 min quoted delivery time. Not recommended if you’re hungry or intend on eating within the course of a feature film –maybe worth trying to eat in though? Who knows?! good luck if you’re brave enough to give it a whirl but from here on out this place is dead to me.

Good prices and they were super quick for delivery! I ordered 2 cucumber rolls with cream cheese. They were quite tasty and they were huge! 16 pieces per roll. The chicken lo mein was also quite yummy. Crab Wontons were delish!

Good prices, good food. Will definitely be going back. Everything was hot and fresh. We got takeout, but the restaurant itself looked very clean.
