Specialties
Mrs. D’s is a neighborhood breakfast and lunch diner. The kind of place we all want in our neighborhood — breakfast and lunch standards offered at reasonable prices, and where there’s a good chance you’ll run into someone you know (or at least Mr. or Mrs. D). «Homemade» precedes many of the menu items such as burgers, soups, chili, sloppy joe, turkey burgers, salsa, coleslaw, meatloaf, biscuits & gravy and hollandaise (weekends only!) to name a few. Breakfast is served the way it’s supposed to be — straightforward and fresh using top quality ingredients. Lightly thin and tasty pancakes are also a crowd favorite, whether you have them plain of filled with bananas or chocolate.
Located at 4th & Linden Streets in Wilmette (four blocks west of the Bahai Temple & lakefront).
History
Established in 2005.
Boy meets Girl. Boy marries Girl. Girl realizes Boy is Greek. Boy names restaurant after Girl. Girl ends up running restaurant with Boy…
But seiously … we’ve been in the diner business for over 13 years, having owned and operated the Edgebrook Coffee Shop in Chicago (on and off) since the late 1990’s.
