History

Established in 2006.

Tutor Zone was founded in August 2006 by two young education advocates looking to inspire students towards academic excellence. Quickly by 2008, Tutor Zone was educating over 100 students a week in all subjects offered at school. In 2011, the La Habra location was created in hopes to duplicate success in a new community.

Meet the Business Owner

Manuel B.

Business Owner

Manuel was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. Moving here at the age of nine taught him the work ethic necessary to excel in school while facing the difficult challenges of a new language. Manuel Bermudez graduated from St. Paul High School and received his BA in Business Finance. In efforts to inspire his employees and students, he decided to pursue his Masters in Business. He calls this one of the best choices of his life. A sports fanatic all his life, Manuel feels like the discipline that we learn in athletics should be carried over to the classroom. He is passionate about raising the expectations placed on students and this philosophy permeates throughout Tutor Zone.
