Meet the Business Owner

Mike M.

Business Owner

Mike is from this area and bought his first mountain bike from Kevin at Bike Barn in 1993. He is a certified USA Cycling Coach and a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine. Mike has been cycling for over 20 years. Although he started cycling for modest fitness and weight loss goals, he quickly became passionate about the sport, both mountain biking and road biking. He has participated in races like the Vermont 50, Leadville 100, Wilderness 101, and Shenandoah 100 and century road rides including Blood Sweat and Gears, Bridge to Bridge, and 3-Mountain Madness. Mike was introduced to indoor training on a computrainer a few years ago. As an outdoor cyclist, he was skeptical that indoor training could provide any meaningful benefit or impact. But he was totally sold when he noticed how much stronger he started the spring cycling season after his first winter training series. He truly does «live to ride and ride to live.»
