Travis Beyer – State Farm Insurance Agent

It takes a lot before I take the time to write a report on Unilocal,good or bad, but this was deserving of my time.
I came to this agency about two years ago. First, they seldom answered the phone. And then if I could leave a message and didn’t get transferred to the State Farm (SF) National Line, they still would rarely call me back anyway.
I have a personal lines policy and I add and subtract property occasionally, but I still need to speak to someone to do this and not a month later because I’m dealing with expensive equipment! Sometimes it was like pulling teeth to get it onto my policy, and then when I asked to see a list of what was on the policy, it took them months to get that list, and that was only once in two years!
Okay, so now I have the list of everything on my policy and I discover that I was being charged for the same thing more than once. I emailed them back, but as is the case with this agency, I never heard from them. So now that I have gone to another agent, I’m told that I have to deal with State Farm Corporate to get a refund, but who knows how many years I was double-​charged???
But hey, I guess the reason Travis Beyer didn’t want to take it off is because in Personal Lines, the policy premium is based upon every $ 100 in value and double-​charging for a couple of items that cost over $ 1000 in value would drop the premium by quite a bit!
And the most irritating thing was when I bought a piece of equipment in March 2015 and after trying for 9 months to get it put onto my policy, I thought I finally succeeded because I received a declaration page including it finally. But then the next day I got a letter from State Farm stating that «your xxx is being deleted from your policy because you did not provide the information we requested.» Well, after numerous attempts to get it added, I provided the serial number, photos, and the invoice, so If there was anything missing, it was due to the Agent failing to provide it! As of the day I write this, this piece of equipment is still uninsured!
So with this information, YOU decide. When I tried to get these issues resolved with them, all they did was try to pass the blame back to me, or ignored them, but I’m the customer, not the agent.
Fortunately, insurance agents are a dime-​a-​dozen!

I have received above and beyond service from my State Farm office, I really appreciate everything you ladies and gents have done for me! I was already a State Farm customer when I went shopping for a new vehicle. The lot I purchased my car from made me buy their insurance before leaving the lot. It was the weekend so I wasn’t able to speak to my agent until Monday to ask if this was something I had to do. So I paid an extra $ 160 to a broker I’ve never met so I could leave with my new car. Monday morning, I let my agent know what happened and they helped resolved this issue QUICK! My agent took care of everything and I got all of my money refunded from the other company. Thanks Travis and team!
