Star Salon Spa & Boutique

I first visited Star Salon because they were the only place along Penn Ave open on a Monday, and I was in desperate need of a bang trim.
Because Min (the owner) cut my bangs just as I like them and charged me only $ 3 for the service, I returned for a full cut. At my next visit, he cut my shoulder-​length hair into a Katie-​Holmes-​style pageboy. It was very cute, but after about a month in the summer heat, I wanted to say goodbye-​for-​good to my blow dryer and flat iron.
So I returned to Star with a pic of Michelle Williams’s pixie and a mental image of Mia Farrow circa Rosemary’s Baby. «Cut her high and tight!» I told Min, and cringed. There was no need for squeamishness; I have never loved a haircut this much in my life. Nor have I ever received so many compliments. Best of all, the price for all this satisfaction was a mere $ 20 + tip.
