I can’t recommend Hana and Venus Event Design enough. I don’t even know where to begin– Hana was so fantastic.
I wanted to play a big part in planning details of my wedding, and Hana did an outstanding job of making sure I was staying on track while still letting me DIY, and was very helpful in pointing out what was and was not reasonable to do myself. And when it came to the week and day of the wedding, although I am the type of person who has trouble ceding control, Hana is one of the few people who defies the saying «if you want something done right, do it yourself” — I trusted her completely to execute what we had planned together.
When things went slightly awry as they inevitable do, and Hana not only handled them but made sure I didn’t find out until after they were resolved. Her assistant was wonderful. She was flexible when I asked at the last minute to reschedule meetings… I could go on and on.
With only a four month engagement, Hana helped me and my fiancé execute an amazing wedding that we could not have fonder memories of. I can’t wait to recommend her to friends and co-​workers.

Hana made our wedding day truly special and headache free. Even when things got intense, she was a picture of calm and serenity, which helped my husband and I relax and enjoy our day. My fiancé and I were introduced to Hana by one of her previous clients, a friend of ours. We went to their wedding and were blown away with how beautiful everything was, the attention to detail and how smooth everything went. We were so excited to meet with Hana and start planning our special day.
I am not your typical bride and did not have grand visions of what I wanted for my wedding. I was also extremely overwhelmed by all the decisions to make. I knew the basic colors, flowers and location but that’s about it. From the very first meeting and every conversation after, Hana made sure she really got to know us so she could help execute the best wedding for us. After extensive conversations, she set us up with amazing vendors, negotiated all of our contracts, and kept our payment schedule organized leading up to the wedding. The planners assigned to us at our venue were terrible at communication and made mistakes that Hana would step in and take care of throughout the planning process. She saved my fiancé and I from so many headaches and unnecessary stress. We were truly able to enjoy the time leading up to our wedding because of her.
On the day of the wedding, Hana did such an amazing job at coordinating all the vendors, keeping us all on the timeline and checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She is truly a Zen master and made me so calm on the wedding day. Because of her, the wedding was so smooth and went off without a hitch.
On top of her amazing organization, she had so many classy creative ideas on ways to personalize our wedding that I would have never thought of on my own. We were blown away with how beautiful everything looked and all of our guests were so impressed with the personal touches.
I am so thankful for having the chance to meet Hana and have her plan our wedding. Not only does she love wedding planning, she has a true passion for every one of her clients and making their dream wedding come to life. Hiring her was the best decision we ever made!

Let’s start by saying that she is one detailed coordinator!!! Large events like weddings have so many moving parts. There are various vendors involved and she did a great job making sure that everyone was on the same page.
Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. She had several events going on at the time but was always available to answer our questions. She responds quickly and we were impressed with the many creative solutions she came up with whenever there was an issue.
Her style when it comes to design is very creative and tasteful. She is also very professional, organized, and friendly.

As owner of Bear & Stone, I’ve worked with different event planners but working with Hana was truly amazing. She’s very calm and respect to others. Hana, from Venus Event Design, made our dream wedding come true. She was like my Fairy Godmother and I felt like Cinderella on my wedding day. Event planning is truly her passion and it translates beautifully in her work.
Hana came highly recommended from a friend of mine, who was also planning a wedding. My friend told me that she made the wedding planning process stress free and fun. With my husband’s demanding schedule and having my family in another state, I knew I needed all the help possible.
Before Hana came on, I had no idea where to start. Researching how to plan a wedding made me immediately overwhelmed. According to on-​line resources I was already behind schedule. Hana, was able to calm my nerves and just focus on one thing at a time. I knew she was planning her own wedding and other weddings at the same time, but she always made me feel like my wedding was the only one she was planning. I never felt like I was on the back burner. She was always available to answer my questions about vendors or just general wedding questions. She is also very organized, which is a quality I lack.
Since my husband and I were paying for our own wedding cost was a big priority to our planning. She provided us with vendors that gave us the best quality without the very high costs. Hana knows how to speak wedding, and she would ask questions to vendors that I would never think of asking. She was able to take the pressure off of us by dealing with the vendor contracts. In the end she was able to save us money so we could use it on elements we wanted, but didn’t think we could afford.
Finally, on the week of our wedding, I was able to enjoy time with my family that had come from out of town. It was truly a stress free time. Even the day of our wedding was so calm. Everything went off without a hitch. My husband and I truly had our fairytale wedding. We can’t thank Hana and her team enough for making our day the best day of our lives.

Hana exceeded all expectations!
We brought Hana on board late in our planning (about 6 months before the wedding) to help in securing a few more vendors we needed and for the month-​of. Once on board, Hana quickly helped to negotiate and secure the DJ and cake/​dessert vendors. Also, she gladly took initiative to immediately take over communication with ALL of our vendors. Wow, what great help (and relief) that was!!!
Our wedding was outdoors at a private residence in Malibu, CA and it involved a very unique process, which included specific venue guidelines and restrictions along with working with specific vendors required by the venue. All of this entailed an abundance of time and effort on her part and she took on the tasks like a trooper. Her execution leading into the day-​of to meet the venue’s expectations was superb. She also helped in further negotiations with the venue’s catering, which saved us a bundle! Even the owner of the venue grew to love Hana and her work.
There’s many aspects that sets her apart from other wedding coordinators/​planners, but one that out shines is that she is genuinely passionate about weddings and what she does. You can see that reflect in her work and work style. She has a very calm and poised demeanor and all vendors enjoy working with her. More importantly, my husband and I LOVED working with her. Even when times felt a bit stressful, Hana’s great energy helped to ease the mood. I was an organized bride, but Hana’s very well organized so it was quite easy to put the trust in her from the beginning. She was amazing in addressing any questions or concerns very promptly. She was easily accessible and kept us well informed about our vendors. AND AND… Hana has a keen eye for design. Her taste and style is elegant, classy, and timeless. She helped so much in our design decisions to create the rustic-​vintage-​chic theme. It was on point!
Our venue’s logistics and property setting was very challenging because the grounds has multiple levels (and a heat wave happen to pass through L.A. that day) and her team did a heck of a job with those circumstances. Like I mentioned, her execution exceeded all expectations leading into and on the day-​of. Her team took on all responsibilities and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day. I can’t tell you how grateful we are to be have been able to enjoy the big day because of it. I may be biased, but it truly was perfect and the «best day ever!»
We couldn’t have been happier with Hana! If I could do it all over again, there’s no doubt that Hana would be the first to call upon… from the start.

Where do I begin with my review for Hana, owner of Venus Event Design?! To put it simply, she made our dream wedding a reality. From the minute we were introduced, we knew we were in good hands as Hana was warm and friendly from the get-​go. From the start, she was interested in getting to know my fiancée and I and our story so that she could help build upon the vision we had for our special day.
After Hana helped me hone in on the true aesthetic for our event (as I was an overly Pinterestly active bride and had ideas jumping all over the place…) she connected me with multiple vendors that were a fit for the vibe as well as for our budget so that we could then decide who was the best option.
A little background on the aesthetic Hana helped me fine tune — we did an all outdoor wedding at a vineyard. EVERYTHING needed to be coordinated, nothing was included with the venue rental so Hana was extremely helpful seeing as we had to source everything from the basic rentals (chairs/​tables/​glassware), to more design based pieces like vintage furniture. Hana kept myself and my mom at ease as the wedding day approached as she was meticulously organized, calm and collected and had all bases covered that we would have never thought of had we gone it alone to organize the wedding ourselves.
With so many moving pieces going into the day and so many vendors involved, Hana served as an amazing liaison as my family and I didn’t know how to handle the «hard conversations» regarding negotiations with quotes, when contracts seemed a bit fuzzy or any general bump in the road (let’s be real, it’s inevitable to hit a few when you’ve been planning a wedding for over a year like me!)
I could go on and on, but to sum it up, Hana is so sweet, she made herself available on email and phone far more than any other planner’s packages I’d previously seen, she’s tough as nails with vendors so we were sure to get the best pricing possible and she knows her stuff! We literally couldn’t have done it without her!

The best decision we made for our wedding this August 2014, was Hana of Venus Event Design.
I was so overwhelmed about all of the decisions and details for our wedding. I decided to give Hana a call based on several glowing recommendations. I am so glad I did!
First of all, I am not a designer or artist. I had some ideas of things I liked, but not a clear design. Hana took all of my ideas and created the most gorgeous wedding and reception I could have imagined. And she made it what I wanted, not what she wanted. She took my ideas and created a concept. It was like she was reading my mind.
Secondly, she made the planning process fun! It is so stressful to plan a wedding. But whenever any of my friends and colleagues asked how I was doing, I was surprisingly calm. Hana did EVERYTHING so I did not have to worry about anything. I am very OCD and usually have to-​do lists and check boxes. But with Hana, I didn’t have to do any of that. She kept track of everything — finances, due dates, etc and kept me on track. She was in constant contact with me via phone and email — we mustv’e talked almost every week! And she always returns your calls promptly.
Hana has exquisite professionalism. She never loses her cool — even with the most difficult vendors. Because of her pleasant and charming demeanor she has created so many great relationships with vendors in the business and can provide endless recommendations for vendors for anything. She is also willing to go out and there and research new ones if you aren’t happy with any of the options.
The day of the wedding came and I was so excited. Not stressed at all thanks to Hana. Perhaps I am biased, but it was absolutely the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had so many compliments, and are still getting glowing reviews of the party.
I would recommend Hana for any event, especially weddings. I have been to several other parties done by Hana from work holiday parties to baby showers and she always does a beautiful job, all while keeping in your budget.
Do yourself a favor, and hire Hana for your event. I promise you won’t be sorry.

Let me start by saying Hana is amazing! Being the Mother of the Bride I cannot thank Hana enough for making my daughter’s day so special. She helped my daughter from start to finish leaving nothing to question. Down to every small detail she made the whole day spectacular. She is very caring, and puts everyone at ease. My daughter met and talked with Hana about what she liked and what her budget was. Hana was wonderful in suggesting ideas and negotiating with the vendors to fit our budget and vision. Hana was at the venue working from early morning to late in the evening way after the wedding was over doing an amazing job. She is very organized, very professional and very pleasant to work with. Hana was essential in planning and organizing our wedding this past May. When we started planning, we had no idea what it would take to put together the event of our dreams. We soon discovered we were in over our heads, briefly panicked, and then were fortunate to find Hana. She listened to our ideas and suggested options, introduced ideas, and addressed many details we had not even thought of. She was able to negotiate with vendors on our behalf and maintained communication with them throughout the planning process. She understood our expectations and was able to relay this to our vendors and insure everything was in place on our big day. Hana is very organized, professional, and responsive. She was present throughout our entire wedding weekend and kept the entire event on task with her calm, pleasant presence. Her knowledge base and understanding of the entire process, from our first meeting to the day after our event, was invaluable. Hana is a consumate professional!
She took on my event planning with only 3 weeks and did an AMAZING job! She came to me with lots of questions of my likes and wishes. We met in person and communicated on the phone and via email.
I had a Big Birthday party and she brought everything together — coordinated the caterer and bartender, the rentals, the florist and the gaming table (I had a vegas night) including the dealers.
It was the event of the year as told to me by many of my guests!

I volunteered to have the company Christmas party at my house this last December and Hana volunteered her company, Venus Event Design to transform my home for the event. From beginning to end Hana was the epitome of professionalism and grace. She worked around my schedule sometimes making multiple trips to my home in a day with different vendors to evaluate the back yard, always taking care not to disturb or disrupt my schedule. She is a fierce negotiator and was always able to stretch every dollar to it’s limit. She wisely chose to tent my entire yard in case of rain (which it did on party day!) produced an elegant venue repleat with decorations, candles, tables, and displays of her own unique creation. She turned ordinary glass vases and christmas lights into brilliant table decorations, and wrapped empty boxes in holiday wrapping to create a colorful base for our potluck dishes. She put together a program of music, dance, entertainment, and Santa arriving for the kids in a sportscar through the back gate to give presents to the children. Her friends and colleagues were ultimate professionals working as bartenders, greeters, Santa, and we had our own DJ. My backyard was a combination of an opulent dinner party, chic Hollywood bar, and dance club rolled into one. At the end of the party she presented me with a beautiful framed wall hanging with photos of my four dogs that she had taken with her fancy camera. She spent many days at my house while I was away working on the party amongst my pack of dogs! After the party she made sure I didn’t have any unnecessary clean up and offered to return when the company came to take down the tent — supervising everything to the end. Hana has a true gift with design, with people, with negotiating, and always with a smile and a cheerful attitude. I would trust Hana with any celebration big or small — she does it all!

Hana coordinated my friend’s wedding and she did a fantastic job! Being a guest at the wedding, I felt like everything went so smoothly. Every detail was perfect, the decorations, flowers, schedule of event etc… just flowed so well. The wedding was gorgeous, and being that there were a lot of guests, it still felt very cozy. I would definitely recommend her to friends and use her in the future for my own parties. My friend (the bride) was also very happy with her… which is the most important thing! I wish she was doing planning back when I got married, I would have definitely loved to have worked with her and have her help design my wedding!

Hana is amazing! I can’t thank her enough for the fabulous job she did in planning and coordinating my baby shower. She arranged an amazing photographer and caterer as well. Every detail was perfect and beautiful! The baby shower took place in my building’s community room and she was able to transform the plain space into a gorgeous venue. I was in shock! My guests are still talking about the event to this day! So grateful for the wonderful memories she created for me and my baby girl.
