Had a fence put in adjacent to neighbors and one short length on my property to match. Very disappointed with the poor communication between the sales/​field person and the installers. I saw no drawings for approval/​to be transmitted to the installers. Also very disappointed with the overall preplanning/​design forethought as well as the installer’s craftsmanship, or lack thereof. Grade and fence height/​angle poorly considered up front.
It was like pulling teeth to get things done right. I had to ask for them to remove wood post stump above grade and concrete above grade as well. I considered it a safety hazard. Old fence remnants were left everywhere including on top of my plants as if they could care less.
Where they cut the old fence to tie in the new, they had not planned for a way to anchor the remaining old fence. It was just flapping in the breeze. I found this and complained about this. I suggested a fix of placing a steel post behind the old wood fence. When I came home, the steel post had been installed in front of the old wood fence. If that wasn’t an eyesore enough, they had hammered in the post top instead of using a fence post set and the top of the steel post had been smashed over. I insisted they make it as they had originally agreed the fix would be done, on the back side of the old fence. Why did it take me to find this lack of forethought, twice?
Unless they fixed these people/​process problems, I would suggest you go elsewhere. If they say they’ve fixed these issues, make sure you get drawings to approve and have on site before you allow demo and installation to begin. Also make sure you know how your new fence will effect what you leave your neighbors with after the fence is installed, before you approve the work.

I had called several vinyl fence and gate contractors to get a bid for two new gates. One, a double swinging gate ten feet wide and the other a 36″ entry gate for the side of our home.
One company asked if I knew the dimensions and then gave me a quote over the phone. Another company never returned my call and another said I was to far away.
John from Vinyl Concepts came to my home and measured the two gates. I was given a full color brochure with a variety of gate styles to choose from. And then later, another man came out to do a complete measurement to insure the gates fit perfectly and they would have what they needed for a professional installation.
And indeed it was. The gates look fantastic. I have already received numerous comments on how nice they look. Even from some contractors doing some work for me.
Even though the final price was higher than the «phone quote», I have learned the devil is in the details. I got a great new set of gates at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I would like to thank all the people at Vinyl Concepts in Newbury Park. From Chris, Pedro, Oscar, the great installation crew that installed our patio and the office personnel, we love our new patio. Installation was seamless, only two plus days and the crew was on time, very professional, cleaned up every night and left us with a beautiful product. Thanks again. vinyl concepts put a vinyl fence up for us in record time. In less than a day, they took down and took away the old dilapidated fence and put up a great new vinyl fence and gate. We were very happy with the job they did and would hire them in a second.

We wanted to replace our aging patio cover and concrete slab with a vinyl structure and pavers. Vinyl Concepts does not install pavers but they recommended a contractor to do that. Vinyl Concepts and the contractor worked out a schedule to get the project done without us having to get involved.
Everything about our experience with Vinyl Concepts was great — from the salesman to the installers. The salesman helped us work out a design we liked and the installers were able to complete the work on time. The office staff were very nice too. The patio is very sturdy and looks great. It is a neat addition to our backyard and I’ll never have to paint it. Thanks Vinyl Concepts!

This is an update on the Apollo Roof Opening System that was installed by Vinyl Concepts last year. The system failed repeatedly when it rained. It was like one of those misters at Universal Studios, etc. We understand that the issues were with the manufacturer when it came to the system itself.
But here is where our rating for Vinyl Concepts dropped: We called them to tell them the system failed. They came out to adjust the louvers first, but that took a couple of weeks. They did not do a water test but waited for it to rain. Once it rained it was a failure again. Water all over our furniture and patio — a real mess as any dirt that ran off the roof poured through onto the patio. One comment by one of the installers was that it was not fully rain protected. Excuse us!?? — the brochure and warranty information say 100% rain protection and if you look up this system on-​line it states the same (at least it did when we bought it). If it did not, then we would not have had it installed.
Vinyl concepts rep Oscar said they would be in touch with the manufacturer to see about a fix. Every time they gave us a date to come back out to fix it that date would pass and we would have to call them. They finally came back out with a fix from the manufacturer which was to install a filament type of material between the louvers. This helped between the louvers but now the water ran backwards on the bottom of the louvers and dripped/​poured directly onto the patio again making a mess of the furniture, etc. It was extremely frustrating to say the least.
We waited two months before contacting them again with a subject line: «Still Standing By», and asked for the contact person and number of the manufacturer. It took quite a bit of time and many e-​mails and calls from us before it was determined to apply the filament to the ends of the louvers as well. They installed it on 4 of the louvers and performed a water test and this seemed to work. They came out and installed (installation team was very nice and efficient) W the filament on all the ends of the louvers. Now we just pray that this works! They did not do a water test after this full fix. The system is pretty cool though, with the fact that it opens and you can get sunlight on the patio when you want.
Our frustration is with having to constantly contact Vinyl Concepts and not get any updates till we did. We both felt that if we hadn’t contacted them repeatedly they would have just let it go without fixing it. To us this is not good customer service. This all took over a year and it never should have taken this long. We will update once it rains again and report if the fix worked.
Update on 11÷22÷15 — We continued to have issues — this time with two of the louvers and then the attachment posts broke — they came to fix them while we were out of town and when we returned home all seems to be good. We had a day of some light rain and when we returned home we did not see any sign of rain on the patio ground or the furniture. There is rain coming in the near future and we are praying that all will be good.
We see the comments by Rick and don’t know how to respond to him except through here. We appreciate the fact that you will not abandon us — and yes we are hoping all is fixed and we know your team is tired of this just as much as we are. We will let you know when the next heavy rain comes as to how the system performs.
Update on 01÷06÷16 — We are updating our review based on Vinyl Concepts taking care of our Apollo System. They have been very responsive and fixed all the issues. It was quite a task for these guys! They took the whole system apart and added fixes that the manufacturer recommended. With this last rain Mario came to the house within one day after calling Oscar and checked out our system and recommended when closing the bay’s to do it individually rather than closing them all at once. This worked and no more leaks. Whew!

Love our gates! They did an awesome job and exactly as I wanted it! They had the style of gates that I wanted and even did a price match from the other 2 bids that I had gotten. They were on time and very professional in every concept. We even opted for a small picket fence and gate for my garden. They understood just how I wanted it and thats how it all turned out. I saw an ad for Vinyl Concepts in the Home Magazine. I assumed that a company big enough to advertise there was probably going to be over our budget, but they were surprisingly reasonable. Ed came out to give a quote. Skeptical of how reasonable it was, my husband went to the showroom only to realize that he liked the vinyl over the wood options we’d been considering. Oscar came out for the measure and reviewed some changes we had to make to the design. He supervised the project from beginning to end and REALLY paid attention to our questions, even coming up with solutions to lessen rattling in the rails after the deck was done and paid for. With a toddler at home, it was reassuring how cleanly the team worked each day, and how courteous they were to us as their customers. We’ve dealt with various contractors, and this was definitely our best experience.
Now, we spend a lot of family time on the deck every day. I feel like it’s a safe place for us to relax together and play with the little one. We are really happy with our decision!

Our new patio roof is pure awesomeness! Everything works the first time — what a concept! Their crew was on time every morning and they finished the job in the timeframe they predicted. The county inspection took longer than expected, so Vinyl Concepts had to work with us on the final payment, which they did. We appreciated their flexibility. They gave us exactly what we asked for and we couldn’t be happier.

Had a pool gate changed. It came out great and I’m so happy I made the change. The estimate appointment was easy to setup and the installers did a clean fantastic job. I would recommend Vinyl Concepts

Started off really well with Chris the sales rep, until my appointment date of May 22^nd approached and the day before I received a phone call from the install team asking me if I could reschedule, and my response was absolutely not as I waited 6 weeks and had the scheduled day off of work to accommodate. I was asked if I could be called back and when I received the call I was advised things were moved around to keep my appointment. (Not a good experience 1 day prior to my install)
The install team showed up and Carlos and George were excellent. We spent a solid 30 minutes going through the entire project to ensure the install was to my satisfaction before they started. The install team was very clean while they worked and respected their working surroundings. Where things fell short was literally at the end of job where they needed to cut the fence caps to fit (see my pictures attached). The caps were cut horrible which I did point out and I was promised they would return some time during the week to provide me new caps (which I have yet to receive). It seemed they were in a hurry to leave before I was able to throughly inspect things. Later I found some stains also left behind.
I’m very curious to see how serious the owners are about customer service and resolving my issue as they claim in all of the other Unilocal review.

Wow!!! This place is so professional from the people who measure, the installers and the office staff. I had a new front railing and fence (which goes around the front of my house) installed and its GREAT!!! No issues what so ever and my house looks GREAT!!! So many people in the neighborhood wanting to know where I had the work done since its so beautiful. I plan on having more work done by Vinyl Concepts

Our community HOA contracted with Vinyl Concepts to replace the wood gates with vinyl. The guys did a fantastic job! Very clean and very professional. Started the job when they said and finished on time!

Made an appointment for 3pm today. I guess they don’t need my business or don’t care they never came out and never called to cancel. They have 5 stars but I think they are fake. Beware I wouldn’t use such an unprofessional company. Wasted my time !!!

So pleased with our patio cover. The work is done to the specs and on time as promised. They are all professional from the people at the office, sales agent, project coordinator and workers. They clean up after the work was done.

The team at Vinyl Concepts did an awesome job on my Pergola and yard gates. They looked good when they were new and continue to look good after a few years. All have been virtually maintenance free and despite the pergola being quite a span over the patio area; it has not sagged and has had zero issues. I heartily recommend Vinyl Concepts!

Excellent — would definitely use again. They installed new driveway swing gate, fencing on opposite side of house and doors to conceal trash can enclosure. Even worked directly with our electric gate motor installer (The Gatekeeper, also A+) to ensure all specs were met and everything was perfect prior to install. Fencing looks beautiful and we love the zero maintenance/​warranty for peace of mind. Highly recommend.

We recently worked with the Vinyl Concepts team to replace an old wooden gate and small section section of fence on the side of the house. Patti Glover took us to meet with the team and took the time necessary to ensure we got what we needed. They are Vinyl experts and I would definitely recommend Vinyl Concepts to anyone needing outdoor repairs or upgrades. They can make anything out of vinyl, and their quality and customer service is second to none. We tried looking at the large building supply houses and could not get the what we needed without modifications and special ordering what we wanted. You may save a few bucks there but you will not get a lifetime warranty and their is no question Vinyl Concepts products are more robust and better looking product.

I needed some repairs to be done to my gates after 8 years of my installation. Paul Lynch, the rep that came out and took pictures of the damaged gates, he made sure to get my message across to Rick Stull, who was friendly and helpful.
They were quick and efficient to rectified the problem. I would definitely recommend Vinyl Concepts to anyone needing fences and gates. The repair was done surprisingly quick, we were quoted two days but they showed up the following day. They went over and beyond what I expected! Great customer service! Thank you, Rick and Paul.
