This company RUINED MY WEDDING! Let me repeat this — RUINED MY WEDDING! My Wife and Wedding Planner worked with a Roaming Hunger Rep for multiple months about our Wedding who promised to coordinate 3 Food Trucks and supply servers and bartenders for the event of 270 people — This is all in the contract which I will send you for proof if you comment with your email and ask. Day of Event — 0 Servers and 0 Bartenders arrived. So our wedding of 270 people had no servers at all… Needless to say, the event was an absolute disaster and our Wedding Planner literally broke down and told us her service would be free, guests had to jump in to serve/​bartend and we were cut off for not having a liquor license hours into our event. Needless to say — Roaming Hunger ruined one of the most important days of my life. To add icing to the cake, I personally called and was escalated to the Owner of Roaming Hunger Ross Resnick the next day, who would not refund our deposit or made any apology whatsoever. After numerous conversations and trading emails DURING OUR HONEYMOON, Ross, ultimately would not take responsibility for employee’s actions even after we specifically gave documentation of them lying to us. Again, message me if you want documentation. Do yourself a favor and coordinate the food trucks and servers yourself as this organization from the top-​down cares nothing about its vendors and ultimately your experience as a customer.

Too easy! They took care of everything for us and we didn’t have to worry or stress about a thing. The food trucks we wanted showed up early to our wedding and set up and took care of everyone without a problem. HIGHLY recommend these guys!

I have no complaints about their customer service, but boy do they charge some hefty fees for doing very minimal leg work. You tell them the date of the event along with the number of people you expect and the type of food you’re looking for, and they find the food trucks for you and act as the middle man to book the truck.
Here’s the problem I ran into: the menu wasn’t as they described it (I was told different kinds of mac and cheese would be provided, that wasn’t the case — it was different DIPPING SAUCES that came with plain mac and cheese), and the service fees + credit card fees + cancellation policies are outrageous. I went along with it because I didn’t know any better, but I’ve since learned that I wasted money going through this service.
I will book a food truck again, but I’ll be MUCH smarter about it. Find the truck yourself, contact them directly and make it happen. Don’t pay all this extra money for a service that doesn’t do anything you couldn’t do on your own.

I worked with Davis O’Rourke at Roaming Hunger over the past couple of weeks to coordinate a lunch for one of our clients. We are in Atlanta and our client is based in Austin, TX. We had a lot of red tape to get through to make this event happen and Davis was patient and easy to work with throughout the entire process. He was extremely professional and easy to work with. Both my client and the Helping Hands food truck had a great experience at their event. I loved receiving positive emails from everyone involved.

Roaming Hunger have been great to work with… I’ve used them for our personal events as well as our company parties.
I live up in San Jose, Ca and they were able to send me a good variety of trucks to choose from. Response time was always quick and communication thorough.

I used Roaming Hunger to help book a food truck for my son’s 1^st birthday party in Dallas. They were extremely helpful on helping to match us with the perfect truck for our event! They gave very timely responses and were willing to get price quotes several times from a variety of trucks to hit our budget. Would definitely suggest using them to book a food truck in the future!

Roaming Hunger did fine with organizing the details and finding a truck for our annual company breakfast but the delivery was lackluster. Chop City food truck was suppose to do the cooking but they said the truck burners don’t work well in the cold so the truck did not show up and they cooked off site instead. Food showed up in the back of a pickup truck and was cold. They showed up an hour after they were suppose to arrive for setup. They did have warmers for the food but it was served cold and did not warm back up in time. They also ran out of ketchup and syrup and there was no butter for the french toast.
For the price we paid we will not use Chop City or Roaming Hunger again. Next year will save some money and work directly with one of the food trucks we know and trust.

I worked with Roaming Hunger to book a food truck for my birthday party. Morgan was great. It was very easy and my guests loved the truck we ended up with. My husband suggested we might have saved a bit of money working directly with a truck ourselves. I don’t know if that’s true but who needs the hassle of calling all those trucks and reviewing all those menus. I wanted a truck that would suite my diverse guests – which included kids and vegetarians – and that’s what Morgan arranged for me. Easy-​peasy.

I submitted my event details, and they emailed me requesting more information. I emailed back requesting someone to call me, since my event was coming up pretty quick. They did not call, but instead emailed me again (misspelling my name) still requesting more info from me. I didn’t have time for this back and forth emailing, so I called In-​N-​Out, they answered on the 2^nd ring, and I’m going with them instead. Much quicker and easier.

1– Terrible response time. Took almost a week for a customer service person to return my emails when trying to book an ice cream truck for a company event.
2– I booked my event, signed the agreement, and paid the invoice. The morning of my event I was notified that they had no received my payment and that the ice cream truck we had booked was no longer available to come to our event! We received no prior warning that there was an issue with our credit card payment until it was too late!
3– Completely unwilling to help resolve the issue i.e. help find an alternative ice cream truck to show up to serve ice cream to 60 production workers on a 100+ day.
My staff and I were beyond disappointed :(
My advice is to seek out your own food truck and avoid going through Roaming Hunger. They seem disorganized, unexperienced and lacking customer service skills.

They got back to us quickly and were helpful until 2 days before our event, they sent a contract that, because our institution is state affiliated we could not sign. Rather than work with us they backed out. I would suggest that they work with their lawyers so that customers and food trucks are aware that they have some complex stipulations in their contract. I also suggest as a customer trying to work with a food truck directly rather than going through this service as it is more expensive and with a bit of research you can do what they do without middle person costs.
We are currently trying to work with the food truck directly in order to salvage the event.

I have reached out to Roaming Hunger MULTIPLE times to this:
1. Automated response from someone on their team that asks me for more details on my event. Okay fine, no problem. I oblige and provide them the requested information.
2. No response or reply — event coming up soon…
3. I email asking if they need more information — no response or reply… event around the corner.
4. I give up and reach out to food trucks on my own. This has happened on multiple occasions. No response offenders: Aimee, Karen and most recently: Morgan. The only person who has actually helped me book a food truck was Clark, and that was in November of 2013.
I recommend reaching out on your own if you’re looking to book a food truck for your next event.

Contacted them 3 times via their website. Also phone messages. On my last day that I actually needed a truck (3 days later!!) AND after I sent a message via Unilocal– i got three emails from 3 different people from roaming hunger about wanting to finally help me.
Poor customer service in my opinion.
I sorted out my food trucks on my own directly with the food truck owners.

Never returned my e-​mails past the initial automated response. Really poor customer service.

Pushier than a dumped boyfriend in high school, this guy will NOT leave you alone. Completely inappropriate behavior, calling at all times of the night, trying to get money for a transaction that didn’t even finalize yet!
Give people some trust and chill the F*ck out!
If half the amount of energy spent bothering us was put towards SOME kind of work (other than connecting one party to another) perhaps the percentage being asked would be justified.
Save yourself the constant phone calls from Mr. Insecure and take your business elsewhere.

Roaming Hunger is the ‘go to’ company for ANYTHING food truck related. i’ve used them multiple times to find a food truck near me. i’ve also used them to book a specific food truck to come cater my birthday, it was so easy and they really knew all the ins and outs of dealing with food trucks.
last month i approached them about doing a food truck takeover promotion for my business (F&B consumer packaged goods) and found out they actually do that sort of thing all the time. a few days after speaking with them for a couple minutes i received an awesome quote for the entire program. they thought of things that i hadn’t even begun to delve into. the promotion went better than we could have planned and Roaming Hunger did everything for us from finding a truck, wrapping it, helping conceive the menu, and staffing the execution. it was a one stop shop. they made me look real good to my boss. everyone i dealt with at Roaming Hunger was amazing but Ryan stood out especially. make sure to ask for Ryan V!

I can’t imagine an easier way to have awesome food at a party. Sure there are a lot of things to consider when you have a big event; like music, entertainment, photo booth, location, guest list, etc. But why sweat the food?
Just pick out the types of foods (notice I said «types» and «foods» PLURAL) and you’re set. You get some of the best, eclectic food in the LA area.
Stalk the trucks and you can try out the food and meet the owners before your party.
I photograph a lot of events and the events where the food trucks show up are always awesomeness.
