Thank you for looking at Giannis Bakery! We are on 62^nd and National in beautiful downtown West Allis. Just a short drive west of Miller Park and just East of Wisconsin State Fair. Join us this February 12^th to celebrate Paczki Day. Place orders early for the best Paczki in town. Flavors will be traditional Raspberry and Prune, but also available are apple, strawberry, raisin, plain, and custard filled. We hope to see everyone here for this once a year celebration!

We are a family run business that specialize in making the best bakery products. I am the 2^nd generation of bakers and strive to continue making bakery delights that I remember having growing up. While it is great to see this place reopen after Kaiser’s closed, I can’t say it is living up to my expectations of what it used to be.
The ham and rolls for $ 5 on Sundays is still a tasty good deal.
As for my old favorite, the cheese flip; I am mourning the loss. It is now much smaller than it once was, and lacking filing. It is much more doughy than before, and the frosting doesn’t even go all the way to the edge. They seem to have even raised the prices a bit too.

I went there to buy potica for Easter. This was one of the few places in our area that I found which sells it. Apparently the bakery has changed hands several times so if you were not happy with them before, give them another try. While there the devil made me buy Lovers Knots. They were perfect, thin and flavorful. The potica was delicious even tho it didn’t have the raisins I’m used to. She told me that they make that style on Friday but I didn’t have time to get there. Plan to do so in the future and will try some of their other items. If those are same quality, I will be giving them 5 stars.

I went to Gianni’s this week to try out their bakery. I enjoyed the cherry turnover that I had, the crust was very melty and crisp at the same time. The filling was a little sparse and appeared to be straight out of the can. Overall I liked it, but not enough to spend the calories on it again.
I also bought ½ dozen hard rolls for sandwiches. These were, as the DH put it, ‘uninspired’. I agree with him. The texture was a little light for my preference and the taste was just plain missing.
There is a small amount of deli type food there, but nothing unusual or special — all of it is available somewhere else. Again, nothing that I would come back specifically for.
There was noting bad or offensive, just no reason to love it and go back.

New local bakery, still in the soft opening phase. Everything looks to be made on site. All the pastries look delicious, my long John and sandwich rolls were fantastic. It’s nice to have a good bakery s few blocks from my house.
