Kolaches were bland. The bread was bland, the sausage inside was bland. The place was very clean and the employees were nice but the food will keep me from comming back, which is a shame since it’s on my way to work and I use to stop by my old place at least once a week.

I have always enjoyed Mornings Kolaches from the first time I went to one of their locations in LaPorte. I drive past this location every morning, never stopping as the fat kid in me gets a bit wild sometimes. So I decided to stop here one weekday morning when the cravings took over. I saw they had boudain kolaches, the premier kolache of the«meat stuffed in a bun» world. So I got 2. The pastry is simply amazing. They have the magical ratio of dough to butter ratio with a sprinkle of some kind of juju that makes the dough simply great. The boudain on the other hand… the meat and rice mixture was very tasty and consistent with store bought boudain. However when I started eating into the meaty part I actually thought they may have forgotten to stuff the pastry… The first one I had barely had a pitiful teaspoon of meaty filling. The second one may have had a tablespoon(this may be an exaggeration of how much was in there). There was so little meat in here they should rename this to a «roll» instead of a kolache. Unless they actually add meat in their«rolls» I will not be coming here again. I can get good rolls a lot cheaper at the fried chicken places.

I was driving to work one morning and had a major craving for a kolache. I knew I was in luck because there was a Kolache Factory near me. Imagine my disappointment when I realized it was on the opposite side of I-45 and out of my way. Keeping on my route, I noticed Morning Kolaches and decided to stop in. Overwhelmed by the options, I opted for the classic sausage and cheese and something different– a sausage, egg, and cheese. After the first bite of the oddly shaped round sausage egg and cheese, I knew I had made the wrong decision. Although the bread was amazingly soft, fresh, and sweet… the contents were horrible! The sausage egg and cheese mixture were way too bold and grease flavored. I couldn’t take another bite. The traditional sausage and cheese kolache was just ok and that’s shocking considering this is a «kolache» franchise. Based on these reviews I feel like I should give them another try, maybe I made the wrong selection.

OHSWEETOBLONGOBSESSIONSOFMINE Listen Mornings, I love you but I’m pretty sure I eat there WAY too often. And it’s your fault. HOWDARE you make kolaches that practically eat themselves. HOWDARE you have bread that is just pillowy soft with a tinge of sweetness. HOWDARE you have boudain and Jolly Peno pops SHOWUPINMYDREAMS. ANDHOWDAREYOURSTAFFBESOAFFABLEANDALWAYSPROMPT. WHODOYOUTHINKYOUAREEH?! Sometimes it’s like… like I can’t even start my morning without you. Like you just fit in perfectly with my ride to work. Do you know what that kind of dependence is like?! It’s like that first bite of the Jolly Peno Pops left me marked for death, or in this case forever yearning to eat this all the time forever until my heart explodes from severe cloggitude. SUREITWAS A MARVELOUSMOUTHMOMENTTHATILLALWAYSREMEMBER, but no one told me that I was essentially putting on cream cheese shackles! ANDTHENTHERESTHELILPUNCHCARD. What a clever way to keep me prisoner, BYREWARDINGMYPATRONAGE? YOUWONDERFULDEVIOUSDEVILSYOU. If you are ok with your gold standard of Kolaches being a level that makes just about every single other attempt laughable then by all means eat here. Just be aware… that first bite is trouble, tasty tasty trouble.

These things are so delicious and sinful. I stopped by this place around 9am(Sat) and went through the drive thru. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches and just hoped for the best. I was about to eat one in in route to my house, but I decided to wait so I could have a clear look at what I was about to eat. I got home, opened the box, and popped one in my mouth. The first bite was like nothing I’ve experienced before. This was like the best kolache ever. It was real sausage, not a hot dog link! I ended up consuming three of them, but I don’t have any regrets!!!

Good and tasty but not 5 stars !!! My issue is that I find it tacky and unsanitary when employees eat while they are at the front counter taking care of customers. I watched a lady grab a cream cheese roll, pinch it into her mouth, lick her fingers and then handle the drive-thru ??? Really. Then when I placed my order the other young lady said«we are barely about to close» I said ummm ok it’s 11am and they close at noon. It was her way of trying to get me out I guess? I tried the sausage and cheese kolache and the bread was good, moist and soft, not too greasy but the sausage had a strong flavor and was not appealing !! The cream cheese rolls were good too. I’m not sure if I would go back due to the staff, the ladies need to act a bit more professional.

They have the best kolaches ever! I have been coming here when they were across the street where the krogers is and now it’s even better because they have a drive-thru! The people here are friendly and quick. There isn’t any other place better to get a jalapeño and cheese kolache!

This has to be one of the best places I’ve ever had breakfast kolaches. The different combinations they have are ridiculous. You have so much to choose from you probably have to come back over and over just to try them all. They also have a good selection of Starbucks coffee in the cooler.

It was a nice surprise to walk in here, while our car was being worked on at Kwik Kar next door, to find a clean, comfortable atmosphere with big tables, lots of chairs, and even comfy seating in the corner. My son and I only ordered a carrot cake muffin, since the kolaches and everything else were in low supply by 10:30 am on a Saturday, but the muffin tasted good, warm and fresh baked. While we were there, we saw lots of customers kept walking in and out. They look like regulars, as they started chatting up with the staff and even with each other. Okay, so they were all speaking in Spanish, and us non-Spanish speakers didn’t understand anything, even ordering food was a little problematic as the staff clearly understood Spanish much better. But overall, I would definitely come back to this place when we have an oil change, etc., next door.

LOVE the jolly peno kolaches… also had that boudin for the first time last week and it was pretty good. Classic sausage and cheese is really good, and if you’ve never been here, that’s where you want to start. Also, in their new location, their drive through is great if you are on your way to work!

Why 5 stars? Because why doesn’t the rest of the world know about Kolaches? — — — This is a required stop every time I visit my parents. Why is Houston the only place I can get a good kolache? That, I will never figure out. It’s a Polish food… I never knew that Houston had such a large Polish community, while other places I’ve lived(Cleveland, Tampa) do not. Warm/buttery dough, cheese, and meat. What better breakfast on our planet than that? None is the answer… none. And Mornings Kolaches does it the best, even if the first word in their restaurant name is unnecessarily plural.

Good customer service. Great selection of Kolaches, Muffins, and other assortments of items. They also have rolls fresh made for all your Holiday feast. Parking lot is kind of small as they are located within a small strip of stores.
