First things first. We were helped finding our titos vodka. Idk why they would put it in the corner because nobody puts baby In The corner … And second my friend was ID for cranberry juice I do understand the ID rule for being allowed in the store but then was confused because I bought a handle of vodka(titos) and didn’t get ID I’m(25 yrs) so the lady was rude at first and obviously didn’t want o be at work … That is all

When I’m on a business trip, I like to have a bottle of wine in my Room. Yes, I’m drinking alone, but I’d rather do that at «home» than in a local bar. This way, I can read the paper, finish work related matters, write reviews, converse on Facebook, and otherwise putter around on my own motivation. There are of course lots of places to purchase adult beverages in Houston, but I usually seek out a Specs for their wide selection of this and that. This Specs was a little out of the way, but I enjoyed my choices and what I chose to buy. Nice staff too.

Specs has a great selection of wine and liquor. They also have a nice selection of groceries that you might associate with wine(crackers, cheese, chocolate, olives, etc.). Some of the employees are very knowledgable and helpful. Others are less familiar with the inventory, but keep asking and you will find someone who can help you. They mark some of the wines with notes identifying good values or interesting characteristics. This can be a good way of selecting something new.

This is our go-to spot to stock the liquor cabinet. They have a great selection of wines and alcohol but something it’s difficult to get service or ask questions, especially if they aren’t busy but then all the clerks are hanging around together up front.
