Valley Wines & Spirits

Okay, liquor store. Contains a wide variety of your typical wines, beers and liquors. However, if you are looking for something in the artisan or craft category you will have trouble what you are looking for here.
The store is old and beat up, but then again you are just buying booze here. Prices are comparable to other area liquor stores.
Valley Wines & Spirits does not stand out from other liquor stores, but if you need booze fast and do not care for specialty items this place will do.

I have shopped at this store for about 7 years now. This place is under new ownership in the last 2 – 3 months and MAN does it show. The store had been dingy, poorly stocked and not the best price in the area for some time. The only real reason to go there used to be that the staff were really focused on putting the right bottle of wine for me in my hands (unfortunately a very rare thing in liquor stores these days). Now, it is brightly lit, filled to the rafters (more than I have seen in years), and the prices have crashed down to be the most competitive in the area. Same helpful staff seems to have been kept, it is just a joy to shop there finally.

Place is not bad. Quick place to stop by buy would not be a top choice. Store is old itself and carries a weird smell. Selection is ok. When I look at wine bottles seem very dusty and dirty, telling me that product is not moving off shelves. Still it’s ok to go in and get something generic and know most will have. Need to get some new selections in !

This is truly one of my favorite liquor stores! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a specific type of wine that you are looking for they will help you find it.
They have a huge selection of wines, a extensive selection of craft and imported beers, and great amount of spirits.
They have tastings on Friday and Saturday. On Friday Night they usually have Beer tastings. Sometimes on Friday’s they will do Liquor tastings, like when Johnnie Walker released their «Double Black». On Saturday’s from 2pm till closing they will do wine tastings, usually a White, and 3 reds.
With all that said, the best part about Valley Wine & Spirits it the fact that they are a discount liquor store, so you will see that most of the wines are marked off lower that the regular retail price.
