Salvation Army Thrift Store the

Not sure why this place is «closed» I was just here a few months ago (ok more like 8 months ago) and just drove by and it didn’t seem closed… hmm maybe I am getting old and I can’t see so well.
Just your typical Salvation Army… huge and open space and pretty organized. Did not find what I was looking for… a woody aka wooden tennis racket.

Overhead while cruising through the racks: I love shopping here, people at work are always asking me how I can afford all these brand name clothes on my salary. I never tell them though, I’m embarrassed to tell them where I shop.
I had to laugh — coz I’m just the opposite. I love nothing more than getting a compliment on some particularly spiffy item of clothing and being able to say «I only paid $ 2 for it!»
This store is pretty big for a thrift store, and better yet it has a ton of treasures to be found if you’re willing to dig a bit (coz there’s a lot to dig through!). Last time I was there I got two skirts, two sweaters (one cashmere (with a hole in it that needed fixing, but that’s easy enough!), the other a cashmere blend), and a Coldwater Creek jacket for less than $ 10. Score!

Excellent Place to Donate, Recycle or Shop!
Fairly well organized shop filled primarily with clothes, shoes, furniture and some trinkets. Prices are lower than competitors, especially when they have their 50% off sale. Saturdays, I think are the big sale days. Goods tend to be more worn, so you must have time and patience to browse. Today, I got lucky and spent $ 6.00 for 4 very attractive brand name summer shirts. Happy Girl! =D
