Our company is a family, and once you join it, you will always be a part of it. So, please if you have any questions, comments or concerns do not hesitate to contact us on or website at www.jasperlukefriends.com via the «Give Us A „Woof“» page, and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
In addition, you have the option of setting up a «Paws Check» with your potential walker/sitter. This gives you, your pet (s), and the walker/sitter the chance to sit down, meet with one another, and explain to the walker/sitter anything in particular you would like as far as your service requests may go. Paw Checks are free of charge, think of them as an in-home consultation.
History
Established in 2012.
Jasper, Luke & Friends was founded on December 3, 2012. It was inspired by the founder’s five dogs and one kitten: Jasper, Luke, Kioko, Ziggy, Remix and Chuwi. The company was created to better serve the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area with top notch dog and cat concierge services.
August, the founder, had been working for a pet concierge service company in the area before taking up the idea of owning her own services. She found thorough enjoyment in aiding people and their beloved pets on a day to day basis, and discovered that she had grown fond of the idea of turning that into a profession.

Hello, my name is August Hayes, and I am currently a Junior at Howard University, studying Mechanical Engineering.I have always been a hard working individual, and have dreamed about owning my own business ever since I was a young girl. A few years ago, I took up dog walking and cat sitting as a job in order to support myself while attending school. It was the most practical job to me, not too time consuming and it dealt with animals, which is one of my passions. Growing up I always had animals in the house, and it seemed as if every family member or friend’s house I went to, they had their fair share as well. Currently, I own five dogs, ranging in all shapes, sizes, breeds, and ages (you can find their photos above and to the left). Over time, I became quite fond of dog and cat walking/sitting, and finally decided to jump start my own business entitled Jasper, Luke and Friends, in honor of the five dogs, and one cat that I currently own.
