Top Notch Auto Sound and Security

I met this guys on Amazon after I bought my key less remote starter. I scheduled for Sunday at my house. The technician took him a little over an hour to install my system. Installation was quality. I recommend this team highly. Thanks

Keith and Bridget were so wonderful to work with. I needed to get my car radio replaced and they gave me several options in my price range and worked around my schedule. I didn’t realize what a luxury it was to have Keith come to my place to install the radio — it let me go about my day instead of wasting time sitting in a waiting room. Once my radio was installed I had a minor set back with my antenna and Bridget and Keith made sure to work around my schedule to get it fixed, at no charge to me. Wonderful staff, wonderful service, you can’t go wrong working with Top Notch!

PROBABLY OKAY FOR SIMPLE JOBS, BUT BE CAREFUL.
They seemed reputable and maybe it was the job requested, but they walked out of the work after 3 weeks of getting schedule where I even went out to go get the additional materials. Wanted to do a stereo install w/​CB below it, (2) component speakers to replace factory and move current placement of the Amp.
After being very clear of the work (I told them that this was not a simple swap and replace job), we settled on a price w/​Bridget as well as w/​the owner, Mike. The installer, Keith, came out with Gary (owner– 2 Watts– see my review of 2Watts) and instead of starting the job, he took out a notepad and started writing notes. I then was told they wanted $ 200 more. Seems relatively strange that 2 different stereo installation companies met, and now price changed. Gary advised that this should be a 2 person job. Interesting enough, both had nothing to do with the pricing. They are probably real good w/​very simple jobs, but their overall price was now higher than estimates from the top area stereo installer stores.
Will give them credit for trying to keep the original price, but then they said I had to reschedule for another time even when the installer was next to me. I gave them one window of time for next day and I would reshift my schedule, but they said that they were booked.
Wasted a good amount of time trying to work w/​them and they just couldn’t get their schedule worked out as well as very late call backs (less with Bridget– she did her best to try to alleviate the situation). Even when the installer came, he was an hour late.

When I emailed Top Notch, I pretty much knew what I wanted (navigation, remote start and Sirius) but I didn’t really want to get into the research involved with finding a solid brand. Top Notch gave me a great recommendation and built me a very reasonable quote around it. I pulled the trigger and Top Notch ordered the unit and made plans to install the radio.
Here’s the best part: they came to me. Showed up at my house on a Sunday and quietly installed my system. Pretty extensive with the remote start and the car had some electrical issues to begin with. Keith was a total pro and completely knows what he’s doing. He fixed my keyless entry and installed a replacement cigarette lighter that had to be completely rewired from the battery and fuse box. That cost me only $ 10! This guy is an artist. The install was flawless and only took a few hours. The navigation and remote start work very well. I’m very happy with the unit Top Notch recomended.
The icing on the cake was the customer service underscored by clear and professional communication. Great emails packed with information (written as a genuine reply, not cut & paste boilerplate). I felt all warm and fuzzy inside like I do when I know I get a fair deal from good people who back up their work. As he was leaving I told Keith that I thought he did really good work and he replied, «I love what I do.» And it shows. I can promise, you will not be disapointed by Top Notch. And, they come to you!

Top Notch stepped up and assisted on a botched remote starter and head unit installation from another small installation company. On the fix a back-​up camera was installed. On the admin side Bridgett is very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. Installation tech Keith knows his stuff and exhibits confidence in his ability to get the job done, and most importantly he backs it up with his work. I had a minor issue with the remote starter… on cold starts it would take two tries. That was something Keith couldn’t readily test for upon installation, and he came out on a Sunday afternoon to make an adjustment to the starter to fix the issue. For a combination of price, expertise, and a job well done you can’t get any better than Top Notch. I’ll be recommending them to anyone.

They came to my house as planned and on time. They installed my new radio in my car in half an hour. I also tested the Bluetooth pairing successfully. Outstanding work. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I would use them again

I called him to hard wire a cable in my brand new Audi S6 and route it next to the rear view mirror. I had tried to do it myself unsuccessfully. He came to my house after calling him at 5:30pm on a Sunday night. He was at my place by 6:30pm, out by 7:30pm. Car looks perfect with no issues, cable works, cost $ 58, and he was clean. Professional, the whole experience was seamless and very good. Asked to make sure it was switched with the car on power, which he did successfully with no issue. Accepted credit cards, and was very friendly.
Follow Up: Noticed a small rattle in the car coming from the pillar. He came 15 minutes later and fixed it no charge. Awesome.

You get what you pay for with these guys. They’re the cheapest around because they’re unprofessional. I had them install a set of component speakers in a Honda FIt 2012. My door panels were scuffed up, the crossovers aren’t tied down to anything so they rattle in my car when I go over a bump, and I had to recall them twice because the left tweeter makes an audible humming sound when the music is muted. I should’ve done the installation myself but I’m a novice so thought to get a ‘pro’ to do the work. Maybe I’ll just suck it up and do the amp install myself.

They came to my house within an hour and helped me in a bind with my car. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I would use them again.

Not happy at all, spoke with Keith numerous times over the phone and through the mails — quote to install navigation on my MDX (in dash) along with the back up camera. After I provided the pictures and sort of a guide on how to do the job, finally got a quote from him and time.
Right before the day he mails me and said he can’t make it because he doesn’t have the required parts, I said which one and I found the similar one’s at Home Depot and I notified him but he never ever responded now the best part is when I approached some other guys they told me that I need to get the ACURA OEM part in order to do the job. I went ahead and ordered it and got this thing fixed.
Top Notch neither understood what I wanted to know nor they showed any courtesy — thank god they did not perform the job on my car it surely would have been disaster with their limited knowledge, guess you’re not Top Notch after all.

The representative arrived a bit late, but apologized profusely and politely. I was already impressed that I didn’t have to leave my family to have service performed (and actually watched a PBS car enthusiast show while I waited! Keith competently installed an iPod adapter to my factory head unit, tested it multiple times with me using my iPhone, and explained the functionality of my new toy my wife gave me for Christmas! This is definitely the kind of business I prefer to patronize! Oh, and the others’ comments on Top Notch’s pricing are right on it, I got more value than I paid, and that’s a good feeling!

top notch totally rocks! I was looking for a place that would install an iPod adapter into my car before my trip in 3 days. Every place I looked was clueless. Top Notch showed up at my door the next day and installed the adapter for me. The price was much lower than what I was willing to pay. I plan to use them again to upgrade my sound system.

Eric and Gary did an excellent job fixing the iPod connection in my 2008 Saturn Aura. I had a iSimple PXAMG (GM2 harness) that was originally installed by Best Buy. After it started skipping and kicking back to XM radio I went back to the same Best Buy but they couldn’t fix the issue. I then took it to another Best Buy who also could not figure out the issue.
These guys came out late in the evening the same day I called which was really convenient. They were friendly and professional. They took they whole thing apart, redid the installation and carefully read and reread the manufacture instructions, determining that there were several ways of installing one of the wires. They then tried each configuration testing carefully with multiple songs. After determining the best one they re installed the device and then tested again to ensure it worked. Finally, they took down all the information and offered to call the device manufacture to discuss the issue.
Their rates were very reasonable. I wish I had skipped Best Buy and just called these guys first.
