History

Established in 2002.

Since 2002 DAS has been providing nationally certified interpreters to the Federal Government in the DC Metro area.

Over the past four years, the company has grown to serve multiple locations of the Federal Government as well as incorporate all types of community interpreting. At the same time, we have expanded our offerings to provide CART services as well as providing services to most major cities around the country.

Originally a division of the larger BayFirst Solutions LLC, DAS broke away and became a separate entity in 2013.

DAS is now owned and run by the same interpreters who grew the division for the past four years. They have decades of experience in interpreting and in managing interpreting agencies. They utilize their extensive experience to ensure that DAS provides the top quality customer service as well as the best interpreters available and as a result, numerous clients use the services of DAS over and over again.

Meet the Business Owner

Karl K.

Business Owner

Karl Kosiorek, owner and president, oversees all DAS management and coordination. Mr. Kosiorek has earned a BS degree in Communication Studies from Towson University in Baltimore, MD and an MA degree in Business Management from Johns Hopkins University, along with his CI and CT certifications from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).

Mr. Kosiorek has over 20 years of experience in the interpreting field, with most of that experience being in a leadership position. He is a well known and highly respected interpreter in the DC Metro area.
