NO. HORRIBLE. THE WORST. DON’T DO IT!!!
The short version:
Signature caused more damage to my car than had been initially incurred in the accident that prompted me to take it in to be repaired in the first place. Dealing with Signature’s customer service is atrocious, and they did not honor the «guarantee» to my vehicle for the work completed. Take your business elsewhere.
The long version:
My car was damaged when hit by another driver. Per Geico’s recommendation, I took my car to Signature’s «Auto Repair Xpress» garage, where high quality service was guaranteed by Geico. To that claim, I will take this chance to quote one of the most monumental voices of our time:

Reason 1 Signature is a horrific travesty you should avoid like the plague:
WORK COMPLETION DATES MEAN NOTHING.
Ok, so this alone doesn’t necessarily make this place the scum of the universe. However, it is hella annoying to have previously scheduled out-​of-​town excursions cancelled because, a full week after my promised completion date, my car was still not ready.
Reason 2 Signature is a horrific travesty you should avoid like the plague:
THEY DAMAGE CARS.
Yep, read that one right, and based on other reviews it looks like I’m not the only one who has had this issue. SIGNATURE AUTO INFLICTED NEW DAMAGE ON MY CAR WHILE IT WAS IN THEIR CARE TO BE REPAIRED. When I finally reclaimed my car following a drawn-​out body repair to the driver side door, I arrived only to find that my gear shift had been broken. The very shifter that is responsible for making sure my car doesn’t slip out of gear sending me careening into a ditch. Broken. I returned to the Signature office and, after 50 minutes of explaining and waiting and re-​explaining that, no, I did not drive my car to them three weeks ago with a non-​functioning gear shift, they agreed to «figure out what the problem was».
Reason 3 Signature is a horrific travesty you should avoid like the plague:
NO REGARD FOR SAFETY.
While my busted car was sitting back at Signature sans a functioning gear shift, I received a call asking me to do the following:
1. Retrieve my car
2. Drive it while the shifter remained broken
3. Return when the replacement part arrived so they didn’t have to continue paying for a rental car
Reason 4 Signature is a horrific travesty you should avoid like the plague:
THEY CONSISTENTLY DAMAGE CARS.
While my car was back at Signature having the gear shift they broke repaired, the paint was chipped in multiple places on the driver side door. When I raised the guarantee and requested they fix the additional damage, they refused.
Stay away from this place. When insurance isn’t involved, I take my car to Capitol Hill Auto Service Center, which has always done great work.

I brought my car here for a Geico claim and needed the front bumper, grill, and an inner fender replaced.
The staff was friendly and the claims process was quick. They fixed my car very quickly (1 day faster than their own estimate) and did a pretty good job with the body work.
Unfortunately they also cause some additional damage to my car as some genius decided to fill all of my tires to over 50psi resulting in a tire pressure sensor malfunction that I now have to get fixed elsewhere. That is the reason for 3 stars only. I’m not sure what kind of moron works at auto body shop and a) thinks it’s okay to put that much air in the tires of a 3000lb coupe and b) doesn’t know that the required air pressure for the vehicle is located inside of the driverside door.

I had a wonderful experience with Signature Autobody recently. Dropping off my car was easy and was ready for pick up earlier than expected. The work was very well done, and my car was returned in pristine condition. I would certainly return here for future work!

I was expecting to never see my car again after reading some of the other reviews. My car came back in great shape and the parts they used looked brand new. The only problem was their new text and email alert system, which they are apparently «still testing.» It made for a lot of confusion as to when the car would be ready. Also, their hours aren’t very convenient for someone who works M-​F, so it would be nice for them to open on a Saturday, at least for a few hours.

Like some others have said: Courteous, fast, really good workmanship, and since Geico covered it– free! Plus, I got a beautiful rental with 6K miles on it from Enterprise on-​site. One of my headlights burned out soon after, but they replaced it for free without hassle. I was tempted to give it 5 stars, but they would’ve had to wash my truck after their work for that star.

They made my Jeep look better than when I bought it 2 months ago!
Geico recommended Signature Collision to fix the rear bumper and fender on my 2010 Jeep Wrangler after a minor accident. Signature’s cheerful, helpful, straightforward people told us exactly what to expect and how long it would take. (They try to use recycled parts to keep costs down, and they have a lifetime guarantee.) They surprised us by finishing the repair 24 hours early.
This is a simple mom and pop business, and it’s a great one. We’re really happy with the way we and our Jeep were treated. Signature gives a much better experience than some of those slick, expensive body shops. We’re bringing our Mustang there next.

I have had to use this business twice in the last three years. They turn an unfortunate situation into a very professional and pleasant as can be experience. Each time, I was met by the Geico adjuster and the rep from Enterprise. I was taken care of quickly and efficiently and the workmanship was top notch. The staff is also pleasant. I recieved daily updates and was explained every move down to the smallest detail. I hope I never have to use them again, but if I do, I will gladly go back!

Some num nut security officer at work backed into my car while i had my foot on the brake at the guard house entrance. Irritated to say the least is how i felt. Luckily the company insurance took care of all costs. I reached out to Geico to find a body shop in the area since I’ve never had to use one. I picked this one mainly because it was not far from home and it was Geico recommended.
When i took my car to the shop i was greeted promptly, given paperwork and hashed everything out within a matter of minutes. Very efficient. The shop finished the car repairs on time (10 days) — the bumper, side passenger window, passenger door were all replaced. I had to make special arrangements to pick up my car with Matt because the car was not going to be ready till COB on Friday. He stayed till 6:30 pm so that i could pick it up before they closed for the weekend. Very thoughtful!
I unfortunately was out of town for 9 days right after i picked up my car and didn’t think to INSPECT my car before i left :(i noticed very visible scratches on the tinted passenger window on my way to work Monday morning. Irritated again to say the least. I took the car back to Matt and he inspected it and gave me to go ahead to have the tint replaced at no cost to me! I was so happy that it was hassle free :) The car itself looks great as if nothing ever happened to it.
I’ve since emailed my receipt directly to Matt. Hopefully the turn around time on the reimbursement will be quick! He said a week…

1. My car was fixed in a timely manner, it was estimated and went into be fixed all at once.
2. My car looks great, they cleaned it.
3. Only downside is that they use off market parts — I would prefer a dealer.

This place should have NEGATIVE STARS! I should have read the reviews prior to bringing my car here. I had a truck back into my car door and needed repaired. I am unfamiliar to auto body repair shops in the DMV area so I figured I would go since my car insurance company, GEICO, had recommended this place and made me an appointment (mistake #1.Lesson learned: dont ever do that)
I take off from work to bring my car here. They were so welcoming (I should have smelt the phoniness a mile away) and eager that i be provided «Level 10» service. I dropped my car off and was given a rental onsite.
The shop assured me that they would order a NEW door and be restored to its condition prior to the accident and I was told they would need 3 days for repairs– cool. I recieved daily phone calls regarding the progress of the car and on the 3^rd day, I was told that they had ordered the parts and paint from the dealership and needed more time (strike #1)
Although annoyed inside, I was very understanding and told them to take the time they needed to make sure the repairs are done the right way and well. I was called to pick up the car an exact week later (10 days from drop off). I take off a few hours from work and drive over (in DC rush hour traffic) to pick up my car. I was sat down and given paperwork and the front desk receptionist and some other shop representatives were VERY PUSHY about making sure I was given «Level 10» service and to be sure to report to GEICO that I was given level 10 service (red flag/​mistake #2).
I was told my car was ready and Sean/​Shawn walked me out to my car and said, «ok here’s your car» gave me my keys and WALKED AWAY (red flag). Not so fast I thought as there was no way in hell i would drive away without expecting it and I did not appreciate the poor customer service move. If you are a business and value your worksmanship, you stand by your work or at least stay to see that I am satisfied! (strike #2)
I inspected the door and saw a POOR AND SLOPPY WORK JOB aka it LOOKED LIKE CRAP! ENRAGED/​trying to keep my cool, I walked into the shop to ask that Sean come out adding that I found him to be extremely rude as I was not pleased he had walked away and rightfully so, I was not the least pleased with the work they had done. He came out to the car with me and I asked, «so you guys put a new car door on, right?» Sean replied, «yes ma’am». Annoyed, I said, «Well it doesn’t look like a new door» as I pointed out several knicks, scratches, bottom of door was rusted, spots of paint chips were painted over, the inside foam/​rubber of door was torn, ripped, the windows did not go up and down as they should (automatic windows to which he said «oh haha my bad» and reset them). (strike #4).
Nervously, he admitted that it was not a new door and that it was «recycled» from a junkyard (its a 2 year olf car!) «so you lied to me!!!» I told him (strike #5).
I told them that if that was the condition they were to give me my car I would not accept and took the car rental keys back. He apologized several times and said they would fix it and not to worry about telling my insurance company (red flag and strike #6) You bet your ass I called my insurance company and while sympathetic, GEICO pretty much gave me the option of having them redo it or go somewhere else and recommended I speak with the GEICO rep at the shop. I did just that and since we had initially agreed a new door was being put on and I never consented to junkyard parts (thus devaluing the 2 year old car) and demanded that he personally see to it that the work was done the right way as if it was his car and I was not accepting this level of work PERIOD!!! I may not know cars but i have enough street sense to know when someone was trying to get over on me/​give me the run around and I am no pushover!!!
Took 3 MISERABLE weeks to get my car back and dealt with poor customer service and an abundance of unnecessary drama and stress. They didn’t even clean or vacuum the car either which most places do. I will never go here for anything ever again!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! PERIOD.

I was nervous to go to Signature after the reviews I read. I was sent to the 13^th St NW branch and it was excellent. I arrived early but they were ready to see me — the paperwork was ready, there was a choice of rental cars ready etc — and I got a very warm smile and welcome. Furthermore, they helped me move two child car seats out of my car into the rental car. During the week they phoned with progress of the repair. When I went to pick my car up it was their closing time, but no problem. Again, a warm welcome with no mention of the fact they should have been closing the office. My car was ready and again they helped moved the child car seats from the rental back into my car in the dark. Very good service indeed.

I had a minor fender bender accident and my insurance company recommended this shop due to its proximity to my home. I hadn’t read any reviews and to be honest, I thought it was another shop that is a few doors further down the street when I agreed to take my car there. However, I found my experience to be very pleasant and having an Enterprise car rental right there in the shop was very convenient.
They did a good job with the bumper and you can’t even tell anything was damaged, plus they finished quicker than expected. My car was returned freshly washed and vacuumed and I went home happy.

After getting into a fender bender, my insurance company sent me to Signature Collision. I immediately read the poor reviews and was concerned about taking my car there. I was pleasantly surprised with the great service I received. The staff was courteous, attentive, and most importantly, my car looks and drives like new. Give them a shot!

I used Signature Collision because they were associated with my Gieco insurance. They repaired my side mirror and I was quite happy with the work that was done. They even cleaned my car for me (what a bonus!)
The repairs took 2 days. They also have an Enterprise car rental onsite which was very convenient.
My only complaint was that I wish they had a late eveninig pick up time.
Even my very critical cousin is thinking of using them to repiar her side mirror.

I am writing for the sake of everyone else who gets sent here because an insurance company tells them to after a fender bender. After reading the reviews I was petrified to drop my car off, but I will say that it was an adequate experience. Nothing bad happened, which is great since I was pretty much convinced that my car would never make it out of there alive based on most of the reviews.
They were respectful of my time and even had the car ready a day earlier than my requested time frame and 2 days earlier than the insurance adjuster originally told me. My car was returned to me very clean, and the repair job looked just fine (I did notice a letter missing from the name of the car on the back, but I’m not going to go raise hell about it).
If I have to take my car in for any other body work, I’d probably still go to a different body shop only because I prefer to have work done by the dealer. But, the staff was more than polite and my car seems to have been well taken care of. I appreciate their efforts to get my car done before I went away on travel.

After getting in a fender bender Geico gave me the option to go to Signature. After reading these reviews I was terrified to take my car there but given the location is 3 blocks from where I live, I decided to take the chance. I have to say, I had a great experience and joined Unilocal specifically to write this review so that others aren’t scared off. When I arrived to drop off my car the front office staff were very friendly, Geico had an adjuster onsite who immediately helped me and Enterprise had a rental car waiting. My car was ready a day early and it looked great! In addition to the repairs they washed and vacuumed it. I would absolutely recommend Signature to someone.

I also wish I could give a zero. The first time they fixed my car they ended up denting it on the way out. I had to bring it back and argue to replace it. For some reason this place is a preferred repair facility for progressive, geico and liberty mutual. Service is bad. Office is small, always crowded, and dirty. Implore your insurance company to go somewhere else for your repairs. They ultimately did decide to fix the dent they put in the car, but it was quite a hassle and not a good experience.

This place is the WORST.
I dropped my car off for simple body work, and they called me and told me that it was ready for pick up at around 2 p.m. on a tuesday. i said that i would be in the next morning to pick it up at around 8 a.m., and i was. however, for some reason, it wasn’t ready. in fact, it was at some lot «down the street» and no one could seem to find it.
When they finally found it, i was told that it was really dirty and dusty from the work, and needed to be washed first. More waiting. Fine, but that probably should have been done BEFORE i was called to pick it up.
At this point, I had called in late to work. I was there for 2 HOURS waiting for someone to bring my car. It gets much worse…
The icing on the cake, however, was the battery saga that followed. When someone finally drove my car up to return it to me from the mysterious lot down the street, he said «BY THE WAY, your battery is about dead. We had to jump it. I wouldn’t turn the car off or it won’t start again.»
Excuse me?! Seems like a detail you should have mentioned BEFORE i was about to drive away in the car to work downtown on a weekday morning. The battery was fine when I brought it in, as far as I knew… This was only mentioned as an afterthought, and I was about to drive away with a battery that was dead and would have likely left me stranded in a metered parking spot outside of my office.
The ONLY saving grace is that the manager, at my angry insistence, agreed to replace the battery free of charge. This took ANOTHER HOUR. All told, I was there from 8 am until approximately 12:30. Yeah, missed half a day of work.
THEN, a day later, the car didn’t start. Nothing. I took it to my dealership, because it is a relatively new car and still under warranty. Surprise, surprise– the new battery had NOT been properly connected. Unbelievable. Another trip due to this place’s incompetence.
AVOID! This place stole way too much of my time!

I had a side mirror replaced, and the repair job was fine. I did it through Geico, so the parts are guaranteed for the life of my car. HOWEVER, I had to get a rental car while they fixed it, and they took my credit card number down for a $ 100 «deposit» that wasn’t supposed to be charged to my card. Well, guess what, it was charged. Then instead of crediting me back the full $ 100, I was charged $ 26 because they wrote down that I had it an extra day (I only had the car for 24 hours). It took 2 more phone calls to get the $ 26 credited back. They did it with an apology and relatively quickly, but if I had not checked my credit card statement online, it might have gone unnoticed for quite a while. So be careful with this place!

I wish I can give a review of «0» stars. Really.
I entered this business not because I wanted to be the first to review, but because I want to warn Unilocalers who are considering bringing their car to this shop to turn and run. fast.
I wont get into the dramas, but I know how a bumper is supposed to look after its redone. It is not supposed to be a completely DIFFERENT color than your car. And its not supposed to look cheap and scream «aftermarket.» Of course they fixed it, but only after I had to fight them on it.
This place gives inaccurate estimates as to when your car will be ready, unfriendly service, and really is just all around unpleasant.
If your car insurance recommends you use this shop. decline, quickly.
