Glow Tanning

I found Glow Tanning Salon online and was interested in buying a large tanning package because it was close to my home. When I went into the salon the sales representative told me the price had increased compared to what was online because of a New Year’s price change. I left my number for the manager asking if she would honor the price that I had seen online. The manager gave me a call a few days later and told me that the price went up because of a 15.75 tax rate. This tax does not match up to the price that I was told and when I had asked her about explaining why the price changes did not match, she became very irritated and rude. She told me that’s what the prices were and that’s what I can pay and hung up on me. I will not be choosing to patron a salon that has no interest in valuing the customer or giving good quality customer service. I have worked in the customer serve industry in the past and and would have never treated a customer the way that I was treated on the phone by the manager — especially when one was simply trying to understand the prices in hopes to commit to the salon.

I came in today (NYE) once I realized my pale, winter legs looked terrible with my peach NYE dress. I used a Unilocal coupon for the spray tan and must say that it was a wonderful experience. The lady who helped me was extremely patient and very friendly. Although I am a total klutz, I found the process to be very easy to follow and as far as I can tell — my spray tan looks great. I would definitely come back again!

I would definitely recommend airbrushes and spray tans! Not a big fan of the tanning beds but this is the place to go for airbrushes

I bought a one week package for the strongest tanning bed. As soon as I got in, I knew it was a waste of time. The bulbs were slightly stronger than a desk lamp. Worst tan of my life. Saw no difference.

I have struggled with finding a good place for a spray tan and Glow Tanning is my go to in DC! They do the airbrush tanning which I highly recommend.

Stay away from this place!
I am not sure how it is still legally open. It is run down and unsanitary (floors were extremely filthy, and things were just laying around).
I paid over $ 17 for the high end tanning which the lady put me in for 9 minutes.
As I walked into the room, the lock fell out of the door!
She assured me that no one will enter, so I was not too worried about it.
Meanwhile, the countdown was already running, so by the time I got into the tanning bed, I had less than 7 minutes on the clock.
The bed was super old and outdated. No fan, and a free standing fan that is provided for this issue was of course also not working.
When I got out I mentioned to the lady that I was tanning for less than 7 minutes, and that I would like to get refunded for the two minutes that I lost since they do charge by the minute (how odd!).
Of course there are no refunds, and I was told that I should have informed her I needed more time.
I was a first time (and of course last) customer; how was I supposed to know that?
How was I supposed to predict that I will lose a few minutes on a broken door?

So i spent 8 minutes in the high bed which was the oldest bed I have ever been in. The lights need to be replaced immediately, and I am naturally an olive person and there was a 0 difference. For the price, the quality was actually disgusting. It’s very unfortunate since they have a monopoly in Georgetown now.
I will never go back here again.

I came here with a Unilocal deal for my first ever spray tan before a black tie event and had a great experience. I was expecting an automated machine but it ended up being a girl with a spraying device… I felt like a Kardashian! She was quick and professional and I was very happy with the results. I’m not a regular tanner but I would definitely come back here for a spray tan. The color was very natural and the team educated me on how to care for the tan.

I used to go here like 4 years ago for spray tans and they always came through really well. It was $ 15 each time and lasted about a week, great color and minimal streaking, plus the 8^th visit is free. I recently went for UV tanning and was equally satisfied with the results. Definitely recommend!

Service was great!!! but color did not meet my expectations. It was very fake and yellowish… I would not recommend this procedure to anyone, is overprice as well… My recommendation use self tanner of Loreal… you can do it yourself from your own home and very nice color.

I came here because I was looking a little pale and saw the Unilocal deal and thought I would try it out. This deal combined with the student discount allowed me to use the bed for $ 10, which is a good deal in DC. The girl working there was super nice and the place seemed clean and was very quiet and relaxing. If you’re in the area and looking to get a little «glow» I would recommend it.

Love glow! The staff is so friendly, and the pricing is fairly reasonable (for students). This salon was a great find.

I have been here about three times and two of my visits were wonderful and the more recent one was OK. I have had three different technicians and the first two were great. The owner did my airbrush tan once and I thought she was wonderful. Each time I was happy with the airbrush tan, but the third time I had it done the technician didn’t really give any instructions and just walked in the room and started spraying. She might have done this because she thought I was familiar with the process, but it had been about a year since I had it done.
Even with the most recent visit though, I would definitely go back. I liked the results and the other two technicians were great!

Just got turned away despite having already paid for my «1 week unlimited»…thanks Glow =(I just needed to get my last night before spring break :(
…Otherwise, service is usually not terrible, there are at least two really sweet girls who work there, though the one who worked there tonight couldn’t cut me a break =(I did come with 30 minutes til close so i guess it was my fault, but she made me feel rotten and sad.

I found out about this place about a year ago and LOVE IT. I go every 2 weeks for airbrushing and the technician Monique is simply phenomenal! I was very nervous about being nude in front of someone, however she made me feel very comfortable and does an excellent job. Not to mention, the cost for it is signicantly cheaper than what I use to pay when I lived in Miami.

For tanning, they have a 32-​lamp bed and 36-​lamp bed with regular rates and student rates. Also, if you join their facebook group and print out their coupon, you’ll get a one-​time deal of either a $ 5 UV tan or a $ 15 spray tan. The student rates are great:

I had heard this place was the best at airbrush tanning in the DC metro, so I decided to hit them up before a Mexico vacation. The salon is small, but very clean with a bright atmosphere. The technician was very nice, professional, and made me feel really comfortable. She also did a great job with the spraying application. Sure, it’s pricey — $ 65 an application, but seeing your skin change to such a beautiful color within moments — I can see how people love it and get addicted to it. Only complaint I have it that it didn’t last long — maybe 5 days? But then again, I was in the water quite a bit, etc. Now if they can only make the color more permanent, then it would be a deal…

Took my aunt to glow in gtown for a little spray tan before the wedding this weekend. We look FANTASTIC (if I do say so myself.) I can see why people get addicted to it.(They have a facebook group– join for a really good coupon. Saved us 15 bucks) One word of advice — make sure your shower cap sits on your hairline… not diagonal across your forehead. Thank god for full coverage foundation. FYI shop was under construction in one room but everything is really decorated well. Owner = super nice.
