i hear what the other reviewers are saying about the difficulty in making reservations, but I got the best reflexology/massage I ever have received. I just completed one of what is a four series treatment and I already know that I am going to establish a monthly session. The treatment/massage is not without pain/pressure but it is incredibly effective and I can already feel a difference. I am definitely now a devotee!

I bought a Amazon Local voucher to use at this place. They have cancelled on me twice. This is BS. I agree with A.P. and Katie. Can’t see myself ever going there. I did go there to set up the appointment and they had problems even then. Waste of money.

Shannon, my bodyworker, was amazing. And the center has obviously been set up with care: clean soft rugs, lovely drapes, ambient music, soft lighting. Everything else is a flaming mess. Not able to get in the front door. No answer on the phone. Voicemail full. Office manager flustered(but very sweet). Unclear on protocol for vouchers(in my case, an Amazon Local). After my wonderful treatment, I was told someone would come get me. I waited, and waited, and waited… Finally, I started walking around calling«Hello?» convinced everyone had left and left me there(and my coat had been hung up somewhere I couldn’t find)! When I found another(a 3rd!) person, she didn’t know anything about where my coat was, or about the voucher. There weren’t any envelopes or even a polite way for me to live my practitioner(who, again, was AMAZING) a tip. Convinced I was going to be late, I took the email address and ran. Today I emailed the voucher number to them. Lo and behold, the email was returned as undeliverable! No email on the website, so… I give up. I’ve managed casual healing arts centers and a big bodywork school before. This is basic stuff and not what I would *ever* want to sign up for again. (But if Shannon Pirrone goes to another center, I’ll go!)

I have been going to Capricornicopia for the past several months and have been extremely happy with Shannon’s services. I first started with a Groupon and became a full-time client. Shannon’s knowledge of the body and her approach of using several different techniques, in one hour, is a unique idea and one that I appreciate. I have extremely sensitive skin so I prefer not to have a full one hour body massage. Shannon immediately suggested a half hour of massage with half hour of reiki or reflexology. Perfect! I’m really at a loss as to what the other reviewer meant when he/she referred to this place as «dark.» If you think crystals, candles, quiet, meditative, calming and a soothing atmosphere is dark then sign me up! I find this small business to be a unique oasis in bustling Georgetown where I escape to after work and enjoy every second.

Dark … buyer beware. A.P. hit the nail on the head.

Something about the place is off, and I cannot tell what it is. I was disappointed, having expected a spa experience. While the place was clean and the reflexology service I got was fine, the décor was strange(feathers, pentacle on the walls, mirrors) and left me feeling uneasy. If you don’t pay attention to that kind of stuff, I am sure the place will be nice, but I couldn’t get over the weird feeling while there. Will not be back.

I came to Capricornucopia on a Groupon because I had wanted to try Reflexology for a long time. I thought I died and went to heaven. It was amazing. Shannon is careful, thoughtful and knew when to talk and explain and ask questions and when to allow me to meditate and enjoy the treatment. I was so pleased with my experience, I bought a 10 visit package so I can continue to benefit from reflexology and stress relief with Shannon. The ambiance is wonderful and I can’t gush enough about how great Shannon was and how much I’m looking forward to going back.
