Adrienne Shostak – Bespoke Aesthetics

I had a facial with Lindsey. Walked in with congested skin, full of acne and irritation. Walked out with better skin and a big smile on my face. Highly recommend this spa.

During my first consult (talking only) with Adrienne, she was very knowledgable and informed on why I was getting breakouts and gave very detailed information on the different types of «retinols» being sold. I researched what she said and found the same information backed up by NIH studies. She is the real deal! I then booked a facial with Allison and it was the best facial I’ve ever had. Very relaxing environment. I plan to be a client for many years to come.

I just wanted to give some feedback on my recent appt. with Allison this past Saturday. It was the first appointment I’ve ever had with an Aesthetician and it won’t be my last with Allison. I’ve gone to dermatologist in and out since I was a teenager, they would look at my skin from across the room and give me a topical treatment that NEVER worked. I would ask questions they would ignore, I really wanted to know what my skin needed and how to improve it but never got those answers, going to Allison was a HUGE fresh of air. I felt so comfortable and felt a lot of hope that my skin would FINALLY be the skin I always wanted. I cannnot stress with you enough how much my acne, dryness, redness has affected my whole life it is something that I have ALWAYS been insecure about and something I’ve always wanted to change. I am so hopeful for my skin’s future and can’t wait to visit Allison again!

I had a consultation with Adrienne last week and I must say I appreciate the fact that she took time to explain her recommendations for improving my skin. With the products Adrienne recommended and the treatment plan we discussed, I’m on my way to clear skin and I can’t thank her enough! I started the regiment Adrienne recommended on Wednesday and my blemishes have already noticeably began clearing. Thank you again!

Adrienne and Allison are ah-​ma-​zing! I have been struggling with adult acne for 3 – 4 years now. Since I did not have acne as a teenager, I did not understand why my skin was freaking out now as an adult. This lack of knowledge led me to try everything from proactive to seeing a dermatologist to natural homemade remedies. Honestly, none of those options really worked for me. After doing some research about medical spas and aestheticians, I decided to try two in the DC area. My skin had flared up pretty bad this Spring, and so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to go to a medical spa. The first spa (another one, not Bespoke Aesthetics) was not that great, and my skin flared up even more. A few weeks later, I emailed Adrienne to see how I could go about scheduling a medical facial at Bespoke Aesthetics, since she was completely booked. Adrienne responded quickly and explained the different options available for my skin. She also explained that she personally trained her other staff to be able to provide services for acne prone skin. After hearing that, I felt very comfortable booking my appointment with Allison. My facial with Allison was awesome! I honestly could tell a difference in my skin after the facial. I mean my acne and scars did not disappear of course, but the inflammation definitely went down. Adrienne also stopped by to take a look at my skin, which was extremely nice of her. I found it very comforting that they both discussed my treatment plan. And so now, one week later after following the treatment plan recommended by Allison, I see a HUGE difference. I still have scars and 1 or 2 whiteheads, but my skin is WAYYY better than it was a few weeks ago! I am so excited for my next appointment with Allison because I can see that my skin is finally getting better!

I have suffered from acne since a teenager. As an adult it has become slightly better but its still bad at times. I also have many dark spots on my face that I want gone. I have been to the dermatologists, tried over the counter meds, everything. The dermatologists did work for me but of course that included antibiotics along with topical meds. As women, when we take antibiotics here comes the yeast infection. Some are more prone than others so you may feel my pain. As a result, I opt to not go to the dermatologists because my body cant take the antibiotics. Although, my face was clear at one point, what I have to go through to get a clear face inst worth it to me.
Essentially, I want a permanent solution not a temporary fix. Adrienne, is absolutely amazing and the fact that she has suffered from acne she understands. BTW, her skin is absolutely phenomenal. She actually takes the time to know the history of your skin, the changes it has developed over the years and assess from there. The woman knows her S***! I am absolutely in love with her. She does not pressure you to buy her products either. I wasn’t sure about one product she recommended and she said «OK, lets not get this today and focus on it some other time». I purchased the product anyway because I trust her opinion and she genuinely wants to help and cares. I got a very good vibe from Adrienne and I don’t trust often but I really trust her with my skin. I also fell asleep in my facial LOL!!! It was definitely the best facial everrrrr. She is as good as it gets. This was my first time here and I cant wait to see my skin 6 months from now. She is booked up to the max so I am going to see the other estheticians once a month, that she has trained herself. I already started to book every month. Adrienne does the Bespoke and Medical Facials. Her other employees perform the other facials such as the Signature Facial, which is all I need. If you have severe acne, rosacea etc. you most definitely will want to see Adrienne at least for your first appointment, but please keep in mind the woman is CRAZY booked and now I see why. I Love You Adrienneeeeee!

I have been coming to see Lindsey for about three months, so I felt like it was time to leave a review. From the outset, I came to Lindsey with problematic skin. I have a lot of work-​related stress. I travel often. I work out often. I had a ton of breakouts (very embarrassing for a 30 something), and very very dry skin. I had tried a number of topical treatments, including prescriptions and nothing seemed to work. To complicate matters, I’m getting married in October! Within 3 months, my skin has changed completely. Lindsey has helped me regain control to the point where I no longer have the teenage style breakouts that I was experiencing 3 months ago. In fact, I have ZERO active breakouts. My skin is as soft as it’s ever been. I feel like the gaping pores I once I had, are shrinking. AND, best of all, I no longer have to wear a full face of make up. I am totally a tinted moisturizer and under-​eye concealer girl now! I couldn’t be more happy with my skin care. The Osmosis products that they use at Bespoke Aesthetics are simply the best. (And it’s a great bonus that they are all-​natural too.) I honestly look forward to my facial appointments, because I know that I will be completely relaxed, and glowing after.
I would highly recommend Bespoke Aesthetics and Lindsey to my very closest friends. She’s the best, and she’s helped me regain control of my skin!

An amazing facial. Adrienne is extremely knowledgeable, treatment was very effective and – as a bonus – the session was incredibly relaxing. This is the place.

My teen daughter has been struggling with troubled skin for several years. She’s tried numerous pharmaceutical treatments from dermatologists and each time she became progressively worse. Since starting with Adrienne, noticeable results have been made. Adrienne was able to identify exactly what was needed to help repair the skin. Breakouts are extremely minimal at this point and the texture of her skin has really improved. Watching your child’s confidence return is priceless. Extremely grateful to Adrienne.

Adrienne is a gem. I’ve suffered from moderate acne, mainly on my forehead, for 4.5 years. I’ve seen dermatologists (yes — I’ve been prescribed doxycycline, minocycline, and every topical cream under the sun), nutritionists, and facialists alike and while there were improvements, results were always temporary. At the time of my first appointment with Adrienne, I was at a breaking point. As a firm believer in holistic health, I couldn’t succumb to the Accutane treatment I’d been offered by my dermatologist. So naturally, I was skeptic walking in. But 2 treatments and nearly 2 months later, Adrienne has exceeded my expectations.
As I’d read, she spent half an hour with me talking about my skin history, her personal experience, my needs/​goals, and her plan for me. I not only appreciate her attention to detail, but also how she tailors treatments for a specific person, understanding that skin conditions are unique to a person and should be treated as such. I spent the next hour relaxed and felt I was in good hands. After, the improvement in my skin was gradual yet noticeable in the following weeks — there was a smoother texture to my skin and I was not as red in the forehead. So I decided to go in for a half-​hour session upon her suggestion, where I was given IPL treatment. Though momentarily uncomfortable, the results have been incredible thus far (3 weeks after).
My skin is far from perfect, perhaps this is a premature evaluation, or it’s all coincidence and circumstantial, but I have never felt so optimistic about the future regarding my skin. I realize acne recovery is a long-​term, continuous process — but it is one that I am confident in taking with Adrienne.
I only wish she had more available appointments. Also, a small piece of advice: book early, and the entrance to her new place is on the side of the building.

Adrienne is amazing! I have been dealing with melasma for a few years and have had no luck going the dermatologist route. She has had melasma herself and is very knowledgeable about all possible treatment options. I had lots of questions and she was very patient in answering all of them.
During my first session we tested two spots using IPL — results have been positive so far and I look forward to my next treatment!

I had a great experience with Adrienne from the time I booked my appointment to the actual service. I communicated with Adrienne over email to book my appointment and she always responded quickly, and was happy with being flexible when I had to switch my appointment a few times. From the beginning of the appointment to the end, I felt comfortable and taken care of. Adrienne is extremely knowledgeable about skin care and after years of trying what seems like everything, I am confident that Adrienne will make a positive impact on my skin!

Adrienne is great. My first appointment was scheduled through a Gilt City deal and I unfortunately had to change the date/​time a few times due to family in town. She was very patient and responsive when we were going back and forth.
She really took the time to get to know what I was there for, asked me a ton of questions and was overall very knowledgeable.
A lot of estheticians tend to try to sell sell sell while you’re in their care, but Adrienne did not pressure me to buy anything (which I’m really grateful for). She was very honest and recommended a drugstore brand face wash (when she could have easily tried to push a $ 75 one).
I totally get why she’s completely booked now, and recommend going to visit her the first chance you see a spot open!

Adrienne is amazing. I came to her because I was searching for something more than a typical cleansing and relaxing facial-​I wanted a plan to improve my skin.
Her space is very serene and cozy and she is extremely knowledgeable about skincare. She gave me different treatment options to consider and I went with a peel and IPL. The results were fantastic and my skin looked better than ever.
Adrienne is very easy to talk to and puts zero pressure on you to purchase products, which is a nice change from other salons I’ve been to. The whole experience was very calming and relaxing-​but with real results!
Bottom line-​I read all her reviews before coming to see her and they were spot on. She is very good at what she does and I look forward to booking more appts with her.

Adrienne is an incredible aesthetician and remarkably talented at her craft. She has the most gentle hands and a beautiful intuitive approach that is incomparable to any other facial I’ve ever had! She will help you to feel your most beautiful self :)

I had never had a facial before so I was a little nervous and didn’t know what to expect. But, I am SO glad that my first facial was with Adrienne. My wedding is coming up in September, so I want to get my face «in shape». Adrienne was incredibly knowledgable, and was very real and honest with me about what I should be doing — which is rare to find these days.
This was by far the best money I have spent on Gilt City, and my next appointment is already scheduled. Definitely recommend!

After going ONCE, I know I’ve found the best with Adrienne… She talked to me about my skin and skin history for half an hour before getting started… that’s more than any dermatologist has ever done to understand my needs (and I’ve been to quite a few)! Adrienne knows what she’s talking about and helped me understand my options and treatment course, as well as the meds I’m already on for my skin. Her space feels like a spa, but she talks to you like a doctor. Definitely going to budget for as many visits as I can afford– which shouldn’t be too hard since she is totally reasonably priced for what she offers. Second visit is already on the calendar.
…also, she may just have the softest hands ever, and she’s a lovely person. Such a treat to be under her care. RECOMMEND.

As a woman in her 30’s who has both sensitive and acne prone skin, I was hesitant to try yet another facial. I have done the rounds of dermatologists, serums, estheticians, creams, and hot trendy facial (oxygen) over the years with varying results usually red and flaky skin.
However the Unilocal reviews plus a recommendation from a friend plus Adrienne being in my new yoga studio convinced me to give it a try. And I am very glad I did!
I loved Adrienne’s calm and relaxed vibe. She immediately put me at ease and gave me confidence that this wouldn’t be yet another facial that ended in extreme redness and breakouts. We walked through my skin history, my products, and my goals before she got to work with a customized treatment.
Overall, I was blown away by her knowledge and the fact that as a former acne sufferer she REALLY gets it and is dedicated to her clients. She looked at my skin and was able to easily pinpoint the product I was using that was aggravating the issue and where we needed to focus.
Since my skin is sensitive, we went slow (no lasers on this visit) but I left with a nice healthy glow. I look forward to continuing to work with Adrienne and as we work towards the skin I have always wanted!

Despite sharing a space with a yoga studio Adrienne’s practice is rooted in science. I came in for a consultation and we talked at length about my skin history and she told me about her professional experience. She knew a phenomenal amount about the skin, skincare and interactions of the two. This was my first laser treatment so I approached with caution and felt very calmed by Adrienne’s knowledge. I had the IPL treatment and a very light peel. I’m extremely fair with auburn hair and flush extraordinarily easily. I was floored to see that when once we were done my face was hardly flushed at all! One of things I really liked was that she was immediately able from looking at me asking one or two questions about my ancestry able to identify (correctly) all of my skin issues. For those of us on the more dark or extremely light skin tones it’s incredibly important to see someone who specifically can tailor those treatments to your tone. (Darker skin tones can scar from IPL and lighter ones can become easily irritated).
A word on IPL: The first setting she used which was for acne I found uncomfortable and hot (however worth it and do-​able), the second setting for overall skin clarity was a breeze. Personally, I didn’t see any difference on spots. I did see a very wonderful change in my skin texture afterwards, my skin was extremely dry and thirsty all the time before. Afterwards my skin has re-​balanced and has been able to retain moisture, my makeup can go on smoothly with no primer. I also felt there was some increased luminosity, for about three weeks after I felt that adding makeup while it neutralized skin coloration actually made me look more dull than my natural face. I had one lurking evil pre-​acne, something I am REALLY not used to in my adult age. IPL had that disappeared in 2 days. It was incredible.

I am so glad I found Adrienne, as I’ve been looking for a comprehensive facial that’s intelligently tailored to my skin and needs, but that doesn’t break the bank. Adrienne provides all of that and more in a most beautiful space shared with the pristine Georgetown Yoga. During my first visit with Adrienne, she spent extra time understanding my preferences and my skin through both a close examination of my face, neck and chest and through an in depth conversation about me, my skin’s history, what has and has not worked in the past, and my routines and preferences. She then gave me a very informative overview of the options for customizing my facial, including IPL to treat and prevent sun spots. Many of these options were cutting-​edge, top of the line treatments that are not typically available with a basic facial. I ended up going with all of her recommendations and opted for a peel and IPL treatment as part of my standard facial. Not only did I look and feel absolutely amazing immediately after (notably, this is not usually the case for me), but 1 month later my skin is still markedly better than it was before the facial. I’ve never had such good results from a facial or from microdermabrasion. It’s fair to say my facial with Adrienne was the best one I’ve ever had, and I have visited most of the top spas in and around DC over my last 12 years here, so I don’t say this lightly. (I also don’t write Unilocal reviews for a person or place unless they’re exceptional or really awful — Adrianne is EXCEPTIONAL!!)
Adrienne has a wealth of information and skills, she made the prefect recommendations for my skin, and was super thorough and knowledgeable when explaining my options and answering all my questions. I had a perfect facial and I look forward to seeing her again very soon!
