Carol’s Country Corner Gift Shop

I love Carol’s; however, like a previous post, the road situation is horrendous! When leaving the parking lot behind the store, you can only turn left and traffic coming from two directions is too fast… very dangerous! The city of Warwick needs to stop saying they are reconfiguring this area and actually do something!

Poor Carol’s. Such a cool store in such a crappy location. The center of Apponaug is a mess at the best of times and now with the construction even worse. I heard they were suppose to fix the roads any time now but then I heard that ten years ago.
Assuming you can actually get to Carol’s you will find a store filled with all kinds of fascinating and very cool stuff. Wonderful reproduction furniture, lamps, quilt like things, unique and very funny greeting cards, old prints, signs and little thingees of unknown function. They even have delicious jellies, treats and sweet tarts. No, not that kind of sweet tart you pervert, the pie things.
The store always smells great, probably because of the scented candles and flowers. Whenever we go here my wife ends up staying for a long time looking and talking to people and even though I tend to be extremely impatient I don’t really mind because it is such an interesting place to look around.
Sure It’s a pain in the butt to get to but it’s such a cool place that it’s worth the effort.
