I have four kids all in braces. Dr Wafflebaker is WONDERFUL!!! Dr. Wafflebaker goes above and beyond. He really takes time out to talk to both the parents and the kids. You leave with all of your questions answered (provided you remember to ask them all:-)). It is nice to know your kids are loved here at this office by all of the staff. We moved here from another state and had to find a orthodontist Dr. Wafflebaker really knows what he is doing. I lost the paperwork in the move, but he knew exactly what our old orthodontist was doing just by looking in my son’s mouth. If your looking for someone who truly loves helping your kids obtain a wonderful smile this is the office you need to be at! One of my kids has Dr. Anderson, and he seems to be just as wonderful as Dr. Wafflebaker. The staff here at this office in Walnut Creek, are sweet and so very caring and will help you no matter how chaotic your schedule is. I am very appreciative of everything they do at this office. In this economy, where money is tight at times, Dr Wafflebaker and Andersons office will treat you fairly. I know when I was looking for a new orthodontic office I was worried about the price, this office is very reasonable. Overall I believe this office is a great value all around, not only are you getting a service, but this office ALWAYS cares about you and your children. I always leave this office knowing what the next step is. I know my kids are not just a number here, they are loved and cared for. Dr. Waffle baker always knows our names even when the office is super busy, And Betsy, Eva and the other ladies go out of their way to accommodate everyone. Every time I go into this office I feel like family, and that’s important to me. If your going to need orthodontic care I suggest this office. :-)

I am an adult who began treatment with Dr. Schleimer. When Dr. Schleimer passed away, Dr. Walfebakker took over my care. I have just had my braces removed and I am thrilled with the outcome of treatment. My teeth look great! I really enjoyed working with Dr. Wafelbakker. He is an excellent orthodontist and devotes a considerable amount of his time to continuing education. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I always feel welcome when I walk into the office. I highly recommend Dr. Wafelbakker to anyone looking for an orthodontist.

After 18 years, my permanent retainer came loose while I was flossing my teeth. I went to see Dr. Wafelbakker, as I grew up out of state and my orthodontist is in Florida. Both the Doctor and Staff were so kind. They got me in right away and recemented my retainer. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an orthodontist.

I am not a dental patient of Wafelbakker Anderson but I had a drop in appointment because I was in need of a local orthodontist who could repair a small damage with my hook…
I was SO thankful to come across their page on Unilocal.Prior to visiting this orthodontist I was calling several orthodontists in need of someone to replace my hook. Every orthodontists I called either couldn’t do it or were charing me $ 70-​$ 90 to make the repair.
When I called the Wafelbakker Anderson office (not only was the phone conversation so pleasant) but they said they would be willing to look at it and do it complimentary!
Now when I went in for my appointment, the first thing that stood out to me was how friendly and warm their receptionist/​office workers were! Their office has a very «homie» feel! The second thing that stood out to me was how well kept/​beautiful their office is. And the third thing was how quick they were to see me and make my hook replacement! And after they made the replacement they made sure I knew that if I needed anything else to give them a call!
If I have any other issues with my braces, this will most certainly be the first place I call! I highly recommend their services.

I have been bringing both of my children to Dr. Schleimer’s office for about the last 10 years. I have never experienced a more professional, courteous staff and I am so grateful that I found them. It was devastating to our family with the loss of Dr. Schleimer. But his replacements, Dr. Wafflebalker, Dr. Anderson and the amazing staff have done an amazing job at keeping the practice up. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs orthodontic care. They are the absolute best in Contra Costa County.

I had braces when I was younger and have had fairly straight teeth since then, but for some reason after I had them off my lower jaw continued to grow and I developed an underbite. I am currently a 26 year old dental student at UCSF, and when I got into school and began to learn about how teeth should come together to function well, I decided to get serious about correcting my bite (I was having trouble chewing my food and I bit my cheeks ALL the time). My dentist referred me to a couple of orthodontists and I even went to UCSF’s orthodontics program and they all told me that I would need invasive jaw surgery and braces to correct my bite. That did not sound like a very pleasant experience, and frankly I was not interested.
Finally, an associate dentist recommended speaking with Dr. Wafelbakker about MEAW (multiloop) treatment, a technique very few orthodontists in California, and even the US use. He showed me how successful he had been with cases like mine in the past, and I decided to give it a go. The treatment was a huge success! I get tons of compliments from even the most critical dentist and dental students that I work with. I am able to chew my food extremely well, and I have not bit my cheek once in the 2 months since I had my braces off (this used to be a daily occurrence). I am extremely pleased that I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Wafelbakker, and that I decided to have him treat me. Even the orthodontists at my school were impressed with how great my teeth looked. I couldn’t be happier.
So, the treatment worked, but what about my experience in the office? Everyone in the office, including the staff, assistants, and doctors were friendly and easy to get along with. Every visit went smoothly, pleasantly, and quickly. They were extremely accommodating to me (especially since I was driving in all the way from San Francisco each month, and had a very irregular and full schedule at school). I always felt welcome, everyone always said hi to me, and everyone knows my name there. If I ever had to come in on a time that Dr. Wafelbakker was not there, I got to see Dr. Anderson, who is just as excellent clinically and great to work with. The office is clean, very well managed, and efficient. I was never waiting around, even when I lost a bracket and came in without an appointment. The technology is state of the art (x-​ray machines and everything) and the way that treatment planning is approached is very patient centered and accommodating. I always left the office with a smile, feeling that I was coming to the perfect place for all my orthodontic needs. I would recommend going nowhere else.

Our two daughters were patients of Dr. Schleimer, and he was a wonderful doctor and person. He patiently explained procedures and worked with our daughters to tailor the treatment to what worked best for them. We were very, very sad when he unexpectedly passed away, but were not surprised to find that he, in keeping the welfare of his staff and patients in mind, had made plans for the practice to continue with minimal disruption. His staff has been wonderful and they are always so caring and welcoming, and his good friend, Dr. Wafelbakker, who took over the practice, has seamlessly continued Dr. Schleimer’s work with the same level of caring and integrity. We are very grateful that our daughters had their orthodontic treatment with this practice — they truly operate like an extended family.

I’m in my forties and finally decided to have my teeth straightened. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Waffelbacker’s for six months or so, and I’m already thrilled with the results!
The care I’ve received at this office is first rate, and I’m so honored to be getting treatment here. Everyone on staff clearly cares about people and the doctors, techs, and coordinators are friendly and professional.

I was a former employee of Dr. David Schleimer and being in the Ortho field for 13 years, I am well experienced in various forms of Ortho practices. Dr. Schleimer’s personal involvement with patient’s and parents was unlike any other orthodontist I have worked for. He genuinely cared for every patient in the chair and always gave time to update parents with progress and addressed any questions. He was a perfectionist in making great smiles. He modeled his practice after his very best friend and colleague Dr. Wafelbakker.
When Dr. Schleimer passed away and Dr. Wafelbakker took care of his patients, I already knew his patients were in great hands. Dr. Wafelbakker and Dr. Anderson made the transition seamless. Dr. Wafelbakker, Dr. Anderson, and the staff have an overwhelming amount of experience and make an incredible team. The results are a great smile in a warm and friendly practice.
